What a year! This wedding season was one of my favs, as my wedding crashes (Pat & Quincy) attended most of them with me from the sidelines. It’s been a whirlwind. We now have a 1 year old! And a house that is feeling more finished! And a celebrant enjoying the off season…

The juggle of a quick breastfeed before the ceremony, finishing off our little house and keeping up with the produce from the garden..(summer was abundant) has meant for a busy year! I married 25 beautiful couples this season and I’m finally catching my breath and enjoying the slower pace.

Instagram is a labyrinth these days and I’ve definitely let the socials game slip, but if only for the eyes of my page I will post photos of the glorious weddings that I was lucky enough to be a part of this season. Incoming photo dump…

Ben and Ella are what love stories are made of!
These too ooze all kinds of magic and I love them! They are also ridiculously clever and beautiful writers which made writing their ceremony very intimidating. Lucky they have a great story so I rose to the challenge.

A moment for the Piscopo’s!✨💍 these two are the most beautiful people inside and out! Captured gloriously by what a dream!

I have been so lucky to play a part in many more beautiful weddings this season. My socials game has flopped with the juggle of weddings and mama life. But I aim to share more photos… at some point…because my gosh they are stunners!

32 laps around the sun today ✨ an extra special one with my little man Quincy, surrounded by beautiful friends, yummy food and lots of swims 💦 life is so incredibly precious and I feel so grateful for all the goodness that is in my orbit

The adventure gremlins! Did you know that so many moments in a wedding ceremony are not legal elements! In fact in Australia there are only a few bits of legal wording which must be spoken, otherwise it’s all up for change. These two lovers refer to each other as ‘adventure gremlins’ and so in their ceremony they promised to be each other’s adventure gremlin for the rest of their lives!

Personalising your ceremony and injecting it with as much of your personalities is my ultimate goal when creating your ceremony 💕❤️

Hello lovers! ❤️🔥
My name is Ruby
I am a sucker for some red lippy, a bit of choccy and a glass of red wine 💋🍫🍷
I have always loved a love heart and often still sign my name with one as I did as a 7 year old girl
My aesthetic hasn’t really changed from this 7 year old self
I got a pair of hot pink cowboy boots for my 13th birthday and still rock these beauties (luckily I had huge 13 year old feet)

I grew up in the seaside burbs of Melbourne
I met my partner Pat when I was 19 years old studying theatre making, he drew me to the Wild West in 2016 when we walked the Bibbulmun Track (1000kms!! In one stretch! My claim to fame) here we fell in love with Denmark and now feel so lucky to call this peaceful pocket of the world home
I love growing veggies and think compost is the coolest thing!

This year we built a little home in the centre of town, so we still get to be city slickers in our country town We also welcomed our beautiful little boy Quincy into the world, 2024 has been BIG
I love being a mum, it is my greatest role yet
I’m also blown away by the things the female body can do 🍉🐮

I love storytelling and holding space
Connecting with people and finding out what makes them sparkle
This is my favourite part of being a celebrant, getting to tell tales of love and soak up all the amazing energy that comes with a wedding
I really think that love is the most magical thing we as humans share and I feel beyond grateful to tell love stories to the people who love you the most

Today is National Celebrants Day ❤️💕 I am so lucky to be a part of this storytelling love club!

2024 wowee!! What a year you’ve been! Bringing this little man into the world and building a house simultaneously has been huge. Our wedding planning became the weakest link amongst this trio and I look forward to diving back into this…someday 😂… luckily we are still very much in love after what feels like a ‘wannabe’ Grand Designs tale - baby and owner-builder build! But guys we made it in before Christmas! These entrance doors got hung yesterday and we moved in about two weeks ago. I’m back doing weddings, telling tales of love which fills my heart with so much joy. Plus it’s been a great excuse to pull out my giant earrings that have become superfluous in newborn mum life… but I have definitely found it a challenge to get my brain working in ways I’m not so sure it’s ready for 😅 thankfully this little man is pure magic and has been such a trooper through all of it. To say I’m ‘Grateful’ doesn’t seem to do justice to the enormity of it all, but hot damn this lady feels very blessed ❤️🙏🏼💕in.town
