Last weekend we were incredibly honoured to welcome the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour 2026 to Calstock Estate.

With our rich equine history and connection to Malua—widely regarded as one of Australia’s greatest racehorses and winner of the 1884 Melbourne Cup—this occasion held special significance.

It was a privilege to host Greg Miles OAM, legendary race caller and the voice of 36 Melbourne Cups, whose iconic commentary has become part of Australian sporting history. Hearing Greg share his stories and reflections made the event all the more memorable.

We were also delighted to welcome the Deputy Premier of Tasmania, Guy Barnett, along with descendants of the Field family, whose attendance made the day especially meaningful and emotional.

A wonderful celebration of history, heritage and the enduring legacy of the Melbourne Cup.
