We provide equipment, personnel, infrastructure provision and management almost every day, often in the role of having to “sort out” what are technically not our problems, (like identifying a faulty Urn causing power drop outs for other people, or identifying O.H.& S event problems before they are an issue and resolving them to a satisfactory level) – we do this however, as we believe that each an

d every event should be a success in every possible way – ALWAYS! Even if we are not officially managing or co-ordinating the event, we will always find out as much as possible about what has been organised and advise if we foresee any likely problems, its all part of what we do!, However if it all seems too daunting, let us know and we can help get your event up and running!

Phew…. It’s been awhile since our last post! Time flies when you’re having a good time…… apparently! 😂

Just today alone we’ve got four venues on the go with Royal South Street Society at Founders Theatre for their last day of Dance, BLOC Music Theatre at Mt Rowan’s Theatre with Peter Pan Jnr, Rogue Traders at Civic Hall - Ballarat and Afternoon at the Proms at Wendouree Centre For Performing Arts

We just love that Ballarat has so much going on for the community!

For years we've noticed MD's struggling to manage multiple headphones, plus comms, shout mics and "talk to band" mics.

After a fair bit of head scratching we developed the "MD Gizmo" which allows MD's to listen to Comms and LiveMix/Aviom Feed, talk to the band, crew on comms and Cast (via the PA) all via one BeyerDynamics Headset! It also includes control for Qlabs!!

We've had two prototypes of this unit out on jobs this month and it's even been evolving as the shows have gone on based on feedback from the MD's.

Geoff Martin from BLOC Music Theatre's 9 to 5 said:

"The box makes communication so seamless from the MD seat. For years I have struggled to find a device which allows me to communicate with the band, the stage manager and theatre comms, a shout mic and also a QLAB trigger all simultaneously whilst wearing the one headset and mic"

Sarah Barlow from Ballarat Grammar's FAME said:

"This unit has made the interaction between different units seamless. From talking to FOH, the band, comms and QLab, it’s all on one device, automatically switching between microphones and headphones. There is one headphone and mic unit which is ideal for an MD. The ability to have comms in one ear and band in another, or whatever set up you’d like has made it so much easier"
