This time last month Jess & Ricky had their ceremony on 22/2/22 at Pilpel Restaurant in Redcliffe – this venue is an amazing space big enough to have all the guests seated comfortably for the ceremony and afterwards just opening the dividing wall to reveal the beautifully prepared reception area – it was only days later unfortunately that Pilpel was flooded but I’m sure they will be back in business so anyone looking for a perfect wedding venue you should check this place out. Jess looked stunning in her beautiful gown as did her wedding party … oh and the boys scrubbed up pretty well also! I promised Jess I would wait to allow her to post her photos first but anyone wanting to share any of these is welcome.

What a lovely day it was for Arthur & Mary’s little ceremony in my garden, with just their two witnesses in attendance - a perfectly matched pair as Mary had leggings on beneath her wedding dress so that she could hop on the back of Arthur’s bike and ride off towards a family lunch to celebrate their wedding before heading off into the sunset!

Last week I had the pleasure of marrying this lovely couple - Katlyn & Shannon booked me early in the year and we have had a roller coaster ride like everyone else navigating Covid ups and downs but their day although grey and rainy in the morning turned out to be absolutely perfect for them by the time we all gathered for their ceremony, surrounded by the family and friends - just about the perfect wedding and I’m very happy to now share these few photos I took on the day 💕

I was here this afternoon for a lovely family wedding. A beautiful venue with great views across the bay. My couple didn’t want their photos used but were happy for me to share the venue. Weddings are still few and far between in these crazy times 💕

No photos of today’s very private wedding at an even more private location .. but the views across the valley to the Sunshine Coast were amazing ... this was a wedding which had to be postponed from 2020 and this little guy was the couple’s son’s teddy who acted as ‘ring bearer’ ... the couple were so happy with our tiny ceremony they gave me permission to at least share the view and teddy so another Covid disaster from 2020 has been put right ... working my way through these weddings this year will be a priority 💕

Last Saturday I was a Kawana Surf Club for Duncan & Cheryl's wedding and what a great decision they made to have their ceremony in the function room because it rained all day - this took all the stress and worry out of the day which was such a loving and happy family occasion with all members of their families taking part in the ceremony. Its always very special to marry someone I have known for a very long time (I won't say how long!) ... but Cheryl and my mother were the greatest of friends and shared a birthday so although our lives went in different directions there was always that very close connection as they celebrated their birthdays with a lunch every year. Cheryl looked absolutely stunning in a very simple but elegant gown and you can see that Duncan was simply over the moon as he watched his bride coming towards him on the arms of her two sons. Two of Cheryl's grandchildren Poppy & Brock performed their tasks as ringbearers perfectly to top off a lovely ceremony. Once the wedding was over they were able to move to their function room downstairs - all beautifully set up for them complete with two little tents for later when the tiny ones wanted to curl up and (hopefully!) go to sleep.

Last Sunday I married Carpo & Michelle at Scarborough - such a beautifully happy couple surrounded by a hall full of their family and friends - a real 'post' Covid celebration and certainly the biggest wedding I've been to in over a year. Carpo sang as Michelle walked up the aisle to join him and their two grandsons who were their ring-bearers, and the great thing about the new electronic lodging system is their marriage has already been registered so its job done for me 💘

On Saturday Tash & Tim’s big day finally came after the dramas of 2019 when their original wedding day had to be postponed – and it was well worth the wait – a beautiful day at the Golf Club at Woorim where the ceremony was held on the covered deck overlooking the golf course. I was able to drift around in the background as the boys posed for photos whilst waiting for the bridal party to arrive – the I managed to get a few of the girls’ arrival as well – it was such a happy day with everyone in attendance clearly appreciating the simply pleasure of being able to all be together for Tash & Tim’s big day. Tash’s dress was absolutely awesome with plenty of sparkles and an elegant train to set it off.

Although Melinda & Ben were supposed to be married at Sunset Park on Bribie Island the rain came down early enough for a change of plans, helped by the kind offer from their lovely neighbours across the road to use their home for the ceremony so although it wasn’t the open air venue they had first imagined it was perfect for their ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.
