Jaime + Kieran 🤍

A timeless all white colour palette, with a little sprinkle of the Australian bush. We always like to make sure our designs suit the environment and accent the feeling of the day.

Did miss getting footage of me nearly losing control of the wagon on the path down to the bush cathedral, and a little dicey capture of the flowers and my dignity. Don’t worry- I do it everytime 😂 so I’ll ensure we get it next wedding at the bush retreat. Wagon driving is not my strong suit

Same flowers. Completely different bouquets. 🌸 A saying we have in the studio is “sisters not twins”. Because, honestly it’s more fun that way!

One of the things I love most about floral design is the endless possibilities. Give ten florists the exact same flowers and you’ll get ten completely different bouquets.

It’s not just about what flowers you use, but how you use them, and natural design. Every florist has a style that’s unique to them, and it shows in their designs. And if you asked me to recreate these bouquets again, they’d be different again 😂

So when your bride says, “Just have fun with it,” well, I’m gonna have fun!

Same ingredients, different bouquets. Each with its own little personality.

And this is exactly why I’ll never get bored of flowers. It tickles my busy brain 🤍

Felt like this bouquet deserved a little spot on the feed. Because ain’t she a beauty! 😍

I made her today while teaching (that’s my other gig, teaching florists!) and thought I’d share a little glimpse into that side of my world.

I kinda fell into education. During lockdowns, I started mentoring florists over Zoom, and somehow that turned into a whole other business. One that’s brought me so much joy.

I’ve always felt incredibly lucky to make a good living doing something I genuinely love. And being able to pass on the knowledge and skills I’ve picked up over 25 years in floristry (I started young, don’t judge 😂) is something I find so rewarding.

I’ve never really understood gatekeeping or competitiveness in this industry. There’s room for all of us to succeed, and if something I’ve learnt along the way can help another florist build a business they love, why on earth wouldn’t I share it? I’m so passionate about helping women build businesses they can thrive in.

You guys mostly see me flowering up beautiful weddings at the end of the week, but the beginning of my week often looks a little different. Teaching, mentoring, talking all things business and occasionally helping a fellow florist navigate a full-blown floral crisis.

Basically, I’m Batman. But the flower version. But with thiccc thighs that don’t do spandex and some epic spiraling stem skills. 🌸

Funny how life works.

I started a business because I loved flowers. Then I started talking on the internet… a lot 😂 Sharing the beautiful bits, the hard bits, business, motherhood, ADHD, anxiety and the absolute chaos in between.

Somewhere along the way, people started telling me I brought a little bit of colour to their day. I don’t think they’ll ever know how much that means to me.

Especially when I think back to that girl who cried on the internet during lockdowns, wondering how the hell she was going to keep her little flower business going.

Because for a while there, I think I’d lost a little bit of my own colour too.

Getting older has strangely brought it back. Less worrying about what people think. More wearing what makes me happy. More taking chances. More colour. More flowers. More being unapologetically me.

So when Savvi reached out wanting to collaborate and then sent me THIS top… I mean, come on. 🌸😂

A pretty bloody special little full-circle moment that came from flowers, shooting my shot, talking too much and just being me.

Maybe being “a lot” was never something I needed to tone down after all. ❤️

Nathanael + Elyanne

It usually takes me a few days to post weddings, but I couldn’t wait today. What a stunning wedding! Full of springs best blooms, pops of colour and some bougie designs. Absolutely adored this palette and working with such a lovely couple.

I’m not quite sure I’ve ever cried so much at a wedding, as I did at Sara Jay and Marks. Tears of happiness of course! It was one of the most beautiful days to be a part of. Their love for each other, and their children was just so special. Sara Jay is a teacher and her class was all invited to watch the ceremony. And I could just tell from watching the kids, how special a teacher she is. The kids were dressed to the nines, they had gifts, and cheered when the first kiss happened. It was one of those moments in time, I thought to myself “what an honor to be a part of days like this”. It all just felt so special to be a part of. So yes the flowers were gorgeous, and so fun to create, but that wedding will have my heart, with the love I saw that day.

SAM + MIKAYLA

I don’t often work in Sydney, especially in the C*D, but when Mikayla reached out to do her flowers I was so keen! Mikayla is my daughter’s dance teacher, and I’ve known her mum since I was little. They’re the most lovely family

Mikayla wanted an old world, timeless elegance to tie into the beautiful ceremony at The Garrison church, followed by the breathtaking reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art. When I walked in the Foundation Hall, I gasped. Walls of green marble, epic chandeliers and overlooking Sydney harbour. It was stunning

August. What a month! It was big, beautiful and busy. I was so honored to freelance for Espresso & Bloom on the stunning Hayman Island. Then home to flower up Mikayla and Sam’s wedding at the breathtaking Museum of Contemporary Art. Back on the road again- this time to teach a workshop for florists. Blume Haus and I hosted 10 lovely florists for a day of learning and creativity. Then capped off with another gorgeous wedding for Chloe and Jayden. Phew! It was a month full of flowers, travel and fun. Just how I like it. 😍🌸

The hellebore. The diva of the floral world. She’s one of my favorite flowers, but also incredibly hard to work with. Hellebores only bloom for a few short weeks each winter. Maybe that’s what makes them so beautiful. They’re here for such a brief moment before disappearing for another year.

I think there’s a lesson in that. Not everything beautiful is meant to last forever. Sometimes its value comes from how fleeting it is.

A reminder to slow down, notice the season you’re in, and appreciate the beauty while it’s here.
