Mandy Probyn - Equine Connection

Mandy Probyn - Equine Connection Horsemanship Programmes helping owners connect with and train their own horses. Horses have been an enormous part of Mandy's life, with 40 years of experience.

Her hobby has become a full-time passion for the horse and sharing her knowledge with other horse owners. Mandy completed her Equine Coaching Certificate to conduct private lessons, which expanded to teaching Horsemanship Clinics. She firmly believes that "if you own a horse, you are a trainer" we owe it to our horses to be good leaders and teach them how to interact with their human partners. Bel

ieving it is not how tall or strong you are but how you work with these majestic animals. Mandy is only 4'11" tall; however, she is a giant compassionate leader moving their feet easily. Mandy is extremely passionate about helping women regain confidence lost due to aging or a negative experience. Through her Foundation Horsemanship Clinics, she teaches, or as she says, gives horse owners the tools to train their own horses. It was once said, "Frustration begins where Knowledge Ceases"… Mandy has found people become frustrated when their communication with their horse breaks down. Mandy empowers horse owners to feel more confident interacting with their horses, by providing the tools and knowledge to enable them to work with their horses, i.e. in the form of ground control and ridden exercises. Mandy also has a keen interest in Cowboy Dressage, endeavouring to spread the word about this fast-growing horse sport. Mandy loves the discipline and training behind the dressage but is a true Cowgirl enjoying her western saddle and fully embraces the' Cowgirl Way of Life." Mandy also has a passion for Community and Youth work so in 2023 will see her present Sue Spence Communications Horses Helping Humans programme. Mandy enjoys talking to other horse owners and helping where she can so please contact her if you have a question or enquiry into holding a clinic in your local area. Qualifications:

A very special thank you to Sari Marttila for her generous sponsorship of our upcoming Cowboy Dressage Show. 🤎🐴

Sari is a long-time participant and supporter of Cowboy Dressage, and we’re so grateful to have her once again supporting our competitors.

One lucky winner will be taking home something beautifully sewn by Sari especially for their horse! 🧵🐎 We can’t wait to see who gets to take this special prize home.
If you have any sewing needs for yourself or your horse, be sure to get in touch with Sari!

Thank you, Sari, for your continued support of Cowboy Dressage. ❤️

This quote really resonates with me, because **Mandy Probyn – Equine Connection has never felt like “just a job.”**

Yes, it’s my business and it’s how I make a living — but horses have been part of who I am for as long as I can remember.

I wasn’t born into a horsey or cowboy family. I was born in Manchester, England, a long way from the wide-open spaces and the life I dreamed about. Yet somehow, horses were always calling me. 🐴🤎

Over the years, that passion has taken me on a journey I could never have imagined — riding, training, coaching, teaching horsemanship, Cowboy Dressage, helping people rebuild their confidence, and watching the incredible connection that can develop between a horse and a human.

There have certainly been easier ways to earn a living! 😂 Horses mean early mornings, long days, dust, mud, travel, preparation, constant learning and plenty of hard work behind the scenes.

But then there are those moments…

When a rider who has lost their confidence smiles because they finally feel safe again.

When someone discovers that the answer wasn’t about making their horse *do* something, but learning how to communicate differently.

When a horse softens, tries and chooses connection.

When someone achieves something they once thought was impossible.

**Those are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.**

My profession may be horse riding instruction and horsemanship, but I believe my purpose goes much deeper.

It’s about **horses, people, confidence, connection and helping each become a little better because of the other.**

After all these years, I still love learning. I still get excited when a horse teaches me something new. And I still feel incredibly fortunate that the thing I loved as a little girl eventually became the work I get to do every day.

Maybe that’s what a calling really is — **something you would find a way to do even if nobody ever called it a career.** 🤎🐴

🌟 Judge’s Try Award – Sponsored by Vivienne Teuwsen 🌟

We are very lucky to have the Judge’s Try Award sponsored by Vivienne Teuwsen at our upcoming Cowboy Dressage Show.
And honestly, we couldn’t think of a more fitting award to have Vivienne’s name attached to.
Vivienne is one of those wonderful people who is always there supporting, encouraging and cheering others on. She understands that it’s not always about being the best on the day, sometimes the biggest achievement is simply getting out there, giving something a go and doing the best you can.

The Judge’s Try Award recognises exactly that, a competitor who catches the judge’s eye for their effort, perseverance and willingness to have a go.

A beautiful award, sponsored by a pretty special lady. ❤️🐴

Thank you, Vivienne Teuwsen, for supporting our Cowboy Dressage competitors and celebrating the spirit of having a go.
