Today, I have the immense privilege of officiating a wedding for a beautiful couple from my hometown. The air is filled with love on this enchanting Spring day, as the sun shines down and paints the Queensland sky in brilliant hues. Spring represents a time of fresh beginnings, filled with light and vibrant colours, perfectly mirroring the love that these two share.
It fills my heart with joy to stand with them as they embark on this incredible journey together, celebrating the deep connection they have discovered in one another. Weddings are magical moments, and being a Celebrant allows me to witness the purest expressions of love and commitment.
I can't wait to see the beautiful photos they will unveil as their love story unfolds. Congratulations to you both, as you step into this new chapter hand in hand. Your love is a breathtaking reminder of the magic that exists all around us. It’s a wonderful adventure waiting to be embraced.

I'm just home after officiating a wedding for Aaron and Rachael at the . Despite nerves and some tears, the ceremony ended with smiles and laughter. The expression on Aaron's face when he saw Rachael walking down the aisle to him was truly priceless. It was a moment filled with pure emotion and love, moving many of the guests to tears as they witnessed such a heartfelt and beautiful occasion.
Rusty Gate Grove is a stunning spot for a ceremony. They’ve got a lovely arbour for the vows and beautiful views as a backdrop. We didn't manage to get photos of the location or setup today, but hopefully the couple will share one of their official shots with me.

On a bright and beautiful April day, Natalie and Tony joyfully exchanged vows at her sister’s charming home in Rockhampton. The ceremony was filled with laughter and happy tears, creating a delightful atmosphere despite the tropical warmth. I have had the pleasure of knowing Natalie’s family for 15 years since my time working in Rocky, and witnessing her grow up has been a wonderful journey. It was truly a privilege to be asked to officiate their wedding. Although Natalie’s father had passed away before the wedding, her mother, Kerry, held his photo close, and together, we all felt his presence in our hearts on this special day. ❤😍🥰
Tony and Natalie presented me with the lovely drink flask that will be used at my future ceremonies. I also received a Memorial Candle to remember Natalie's father, Gary. I am so honoured.

What a cracker of a day for a wedding!
This afternoon, Natalie and Tony are tying the knot under a sky that’s clearly just as excited as the rest of us—sunny, breezy, and photogenic! There’s a soft breeze playing with the leaves, a few fluffy clouds providing just the right amount of shade, and love floating through the air like confetti.
I can’t wait to see the gorgeous photos—especially that very first pic as husband and wife (cue the happy tears 🥹).
This wedding is extra special for me. I’ve been lucky enough to walk alongside this beautiful family for years, and being part of today means the absolute world.
Natalie and Tony—thank you for letting me help tell your love story. It’s been an honour (and a total delight). 💕

How do you envision the location where you will make your marriage vows?
Here are some ideas from ceremonies I have conducted. Some are very simple and take advantage of the location, while others are more detailed and ornate. Some may have been organised by wedding planners, while others were planned and constructed by the couple. All are gorgeous.
Regardless of how they were arranged, each ceremony reflects the unique tone they had in mind for their special day.
