As family and friends gathered to share their stories and memories, one theme echoed throughout the service, Mark's unwavering loyalty to the people he loved
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, son, brother, uncle and a great mate to so many. Mark had a remarkable gift in the kitchen, seemingly able to cook anything, and he lived life with commitment, generosity and a quick sense of humour that could brighten any room. He loved his bike, had a legendary affection for “Mary Jane” and was known for always putting others before himself. Kind, giving and endlessly loyal, Mark's greatest legacy is the love and friendship he shared with those around him. And while he had many wonderful qualities, those who knew him best would agree he had one flaw, his unwavering love of the bloody Dolphins.
As Mark’s son Alex shared the life of his father, he was supported by sister Bella!"Some men leave memories; Mark, you left stories, smiles and friendships that will be treasured forever."

I’m officiating FIVE funerals in the next 7 days, that’s families, friends all affected by death, but…….A funeral isn’t about death.
It’s about the stories.
The laughter.
The lessons.
The people who helped shape a life.
Over the years I’ve seen tears, smiles, standing ovations, laughter and moments of incredible connection.
Because every life leaves a mark.
And every life deserves a farewell that reflects the person behind the story.
What is one lesson or memory from someone you’ve loved and lost that you’ll never forget?

Emilie + Jordan =
Back around their early twenties, they first met at their friend Aubrey’s house, helping pack t-shirts for what can only be described as a very ambitious side hustle. Romance was not exactly in the air.
They started talking every day, and a couple of weeks later Jordan invited her out for what was possibly the least romantic reunion in human history: shopping for a clothes steamer.
He used the steamer for the first time…on his wedding day!

I only met Jess and Zane once but knew they were MY COUPLE!
Yesterday at O’Reillys in Canungra we made it happen, amazing music from the crew at
It’s not built on perfection. It’s built on comfort. Familiarity. Friendship. Laughter. The kind of connection that starts young and somehow just keeps finding its way back to each other through every stage of life.
These two genuinely enjoy one another. They laugh together. Tease each other. Build each other up. And underneath all of that is something even more important — they choose each other. Again and again.
Because real love isn’t just found in grand gestures.
It’s in the confidence someone gives you when you doubt yourself.
It’s in coming home at the end of a long day and knowing your person is there.
It’s in accepting someone completely — firecracker energy, lost keys, emotional support cheese platters and all.
And today, surrounded by the people who love them most, Jess and Zane are choosing forever.
Not a perfect forever.
A real one.
A loud one.
A joyful one.
A slightly sarcastic one.
A forever filled with laughter, loyalty, and probably at least one missing phone at any given moment.
And honestly… that sounds pretty perfect to me.

Not every couple wants to stand in front of 100 people and suddenly become Shakespeare.
And fair enough.
If you’re a bit on the shy side, or the thought of public declarations makes you want to fake a small injury and leave… I’ve got you.
It’s called silent vows.
Here’s how it works, I play some music, everyone else melts into the background, and you two get a moment that’s actually yours. No microphones, no audience reaction, no pressure to perform. Just say what you want, how you want, quietly, together.
It’s real. It’s intimate. And no one’s judging your word choices or waiting for a punchline.
Now… will Mum be thrilled? Probably not. There’s always at least one “but that’s my favourite part!” floating around.
And I get it.
But respectfully… they’ve had their turn!
This bit? It belongs to you.
If you’re even slightly thinking “that sounds more like us”, send me a message and let’s chat.
