“The location is unassuming, tucked away inside a non-descript industrial park. But Darebin Creek is a stone's throw away so it is the perfect pitstop after an early morning or afternoon walk. Besides, the food itself is worth the trip. They do one thing – sweet or savoury crêpes – and they do it well. We all had buckwheat galettes with a different savoury topping. “I love this place! I find it very hard to go past ordering a galette, as I prefer them to the crêpes, but both are excellent. You'll definitely be tempted to return and work your way through the menu. You can work off any 'calorie guilt' by going for a walk on the Darebin Trail nearby. Business owners Bianca and Dougal are lovely, and I'm thrilled for them (though selfishly a little disappointed for myself!) that word is getting out about this neighbourhood gem.” — Nina 💛

The Holy Pistachio has become a bit of a legend – and for good reason 💚 It’s a crêpe that delivers pure pistachio heaven, bite after luxurious bite.

We’ve layered this beauty with Holy Nuts’ award-winning organic 100% pure pistachio butter (yes, the real deal – no fillers, no funny stuff), added a scoop of dreamy vanilla ice cream, our house-made pistachio nougatine for a glorious crunch, and finished it off with a generous drizzle of pomegranate molasses for that tart-sweet pop. It’s pistachio heaven on a plate.

And yes – we stock jars of the Holy Nuts pistachio butter at the warehouse too, so you can keep the pistachio magic going at home. Just try not to eat it straight from the jar (no judgement if you do).

We’re heading to the hills tomorrow! You’ll find us at the Lost Woods Market from 9 to 2. Along with our usual market fare we'll be offering some warehouse favourites not usually available. First up is the addictive Kimcheese Galette...🧀🔥 A buttery buckwheat crêpe packed with spicy kimchi and gooey emmental cheese - delicious as is or add add a free-range egg or fresh baby spinach if you fancy. It’s punchy, satisfying, and absolutely packed with flavour! Next up is the Pavlova crêpe - with house-made lemon curd, fresh strawberries and vanilla meringue, it's a little bit sweet, a little but tart, and 100% delicious.

Catch us this Saturday from 9am to 2pm at the Puffing Billy Park and Playground in Emeral– it’s a stunning little spot, perfect for a wander, a crêpe, and a play with the kiddos. Vegan and gluten-free options available, and yes – your furry friends are welcome too!

Let’s talk about a true French icon: the Galette Complète (say it with me – gah-LET com-PLET). This is the crêperie equivalent of a little black dress. Timeless, satisfying, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Born in Brittany, in the rugged west of France, the galette made with buckwheat flour became a staple in rural households as early as the 14th century. Buckwheat thrived in the Breton soil, and locals used it to craft these hearty, savoury galettes cooked on a flat, hot griddle.

The “Complète” came later – sometime in the 19th century – when cafés and crêperies began folding in jambon, fromage et œuf (ham, cheese, and egg) to create a one-plate wonder that was nourishing, rustic and perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

At Little Yarra Crêperie, we've stayed true to tradition and use methods learned first hand at Atelier de la Crêpe, the international school for the art of crêpe-making, together with only the best ingredients:

🚨 SPOTLIGHT TIME 🚨 Say bonjour to the Rebel Priest Galette – she’s gooey, gutsy, and gloriously French.

At the heart of this beauty is award-winning camembert, paired with our house-made confit onion jam (slow-cooked in apple cider until it's deeply caremalised), peppery fresh rocket and our signature maple-glazed walnuts for crunch and sweetness.

The name? A cheeky nod to the fascinating origins of camembert. Back in 1791, during the French Revolution, a Normandy farmer named Marie Harel created the very first camembert after refining a recipe passed to her by a priest from Brie seeking shelter from the authorities. That blend of rebellion, refuge, and culinary magic inspired this galette – and the flavour lives up to the legend.

Sometimes, even the hardest-working crêpe and coffee makers need a little time to rest and recharge. Due to health reasons, our Thornbury Cafe will be CLOSED from 13–17 March, re-opening on 20 March!
