On Saturday the Sharing with Friends Foundation held a special event to celebrate the Building Approval for the first co-housing project with our ‘First Five’ residents “turning the sod” with a golden spade.
The event was not only a celebration but also an acknowledgement and thank you to all those who have supported the Foundation in getting to this point and making a dream a reality. Joining us were representatives from Deicke Richards Architects, Minter Ellison Lawyers, UQ Institute of Social Science Research, Ownit Homes, SwF Board, lenders and donors, Zonta, friends and family members.
It was also a wonderful introduction to the local community and neighbours who came and joined us in the celebrations. We were pleased to have Local Councillor Sarah Hutton attend along with members of Trent Dalton’s family who’s interest in our project never waivers.....and thank you to Mr. Barista who plied us with delicious coffee.
