Well wowzers! Finally a chance to recap on the massive weekend over the weekend competing in the ABA Invitational and then the World Open Championships BBQ Competitions
Massive shout out to Mick Tyrrell and Sara for what they’ve created at this awesome venue!
We came out swinging on Friday night with AJ getting 10th steak and the Simon getting 3rd and Ed getting 1st in the Ed’s steak being 1.1 off a perfect score is just incredible!!
Both 1st and 3rd featuring the killer T-Rub from cooked on the trusty fueled by
Saturday saw us up against the top 37 Australian teams and international teams too!
We had a great cook with the below results:
- Chicken 31st
- Pork Ribs 9th
- Pork 16th
- Brisket 12th
Placing us 13th in the field of 37, very happy with it. Congrats to on the GC and on the RGC!
We headed into Sunday, with a 51 team field and a few tweaks to make from Saturday. After a very challenging windy cook, playing havoc on the pit we got it done.
- Chicken 27th
- Pork Ribs 10th
- Pork 30th
- Brisket 6th
Placing us 12th in the field of 51 teams which we were super stoked and happy with!
