Well, this one has been a long time coming🔥

I’ve followed Michael and Big Box Barbeque for a few months now, watching from afar. We’ve chatted plenty over this time. The other week I finally got to meet the man behind the smoker, and well today, and more importantly, finally got to try the BBQ.

All I can say is, bloody hell!! 🤤

Every single bite was spot on. Brisket that melted in your mouth, incredible bark, perfectly rendered, awesome sides, just honest, proper BBQ, done the way it should be.

No gimmicks, no overcomplicating things, just letting great barbecue speak for itself.

If you ever find yourself in Canberra, do yourself a favour and go pay Michael a visit. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next trip back.

Great food, great bloke, and absolutely worth the drive.

What an incredible few days it’s been.

When we made the decision and packed up the smoker in Newcastle and made the trip down, we hoped people would enjoy what we do. We never imagined we’d be welcomed the way we have.

To everyone who came out for a burger, a meat box, loaded fries, or simply stopped in for a chat, thank you. To those who came back a second or thirds even; you know who you are, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, or spread the word around town, you’ve made this trip one we’ll never forget.

As a small business, your support means far more than you probably realise. Every meal we served, every conversation we had, and every smile across the counter reminded us why we love doing what we do.

A huge thank you to the locals, the resort staff, everyone visiting the region, and our fellow food vendors Amigos Mexican Restaurant and wafflo_ who made us feel so welcome.

We truly hope we’ve brought something a little different to Jindabyne and created a few memories too. We truly can’t wait to fire the smoker back here again!! Watch this space and our socials

Tonight is the night, our last night of BBQ in Jindy. We’ve been blown away with the support, encouragement and feedback from every single person who has come by the past 2 nights.

We have limited limited stock that will only get us through tonight.

We will be ready from 4:30pm, until we sell out, so don’t miss out and come down and see us and Amigos Mexican Restaurant

We’re just getting the finishing touches on your BBQ fix tonight Jindy! The BBQ gods have delayed us a little bit so we’ll be ready from 4:30pm at The Village Church.

We’ll be here with Amigos Mexican Restaurant all night long!

You have smashed our BBQ so we are getting low on the bbq meaty goodness, so make sure you get down and see us before we run out!

PS, we won’t be making it through to Sunday if you keep eating out BBQ like you have been!

🔥 The fires are lit. The briskets are on. The countdown is officially on.

The smoker is loaded, the fire is lit and blue smoke is rolling, and we’re settling in for an overnight cook ready for our first service tomorrow!

This is what low & slow BBQ is all about. No shortcuts. Just real fire, plenty of patience, a heap of love and passion and a whole lot of brisket and pulled pork.

JINDABYNE… WE’VE ARRIVED! 🔥🐷

After the drive down from Newcastle, Smokin’ Swine BBQ has officially rolled into Jindabyne!

The smoker is in position, the wood is stacked, the lights are on, and tomorrow the fire gets lit as we spend the night cooking over fire, ready for our first service on Thursday.

This is our first ever trip to Jindabyne, and we’re genuinely excited to bring American BBQ to Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains. There’s something pretty special about seeing the smoker set up with the mountains as the backdrop.

A big shout out to our neighbours, Amigos Mexican and WAFFLO - Catering & Food Trucks , who have also set up alongside us. It’s great to be part of a lineup of food vendors, giving everyone plenty of delicious options over the next few days. If you’re coming down, make sure you show them some love too! 👏

We’ll be tending the fires tomorrow, smoking our meat and giving it the love and passion we put into every single cook, the way it should be.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s shared our posts, tagged their mates and sent us messages over the last week. The support has honestly been amazing.

After the response to our announcement, we honestly can't wait to bring the smoker south.

For the last 6 years we've made the annual trip to Jindabyne chasing the snow. Every year we found ourselves saying...

"Imagine if someone brought proper American BBQ down here."

Well this year, we're making it happen.

And Mother Nature has finally decided to join the party.

The snow has finally arrived, now it's our turn. ❄️🔥

After a slow start to the season, the Snowy Mountains finally saw a fresh dump of snow last weekend, and with more forecast for the weekend we're arriving, it's shaping up to be the perfect time to warm up with some authentic Low & Slow BBQ.
