As a marriage celebrant, I have the incredible privilege of standing beside couples on one of the happiest days of their lives.

A few weeks ago, I had the honour of marrying Lee-Ella and Jarrad.

It wasn't just another wedding. It was one of the most meaningful ceremonies I've ever been part of.

Surrounded by their four beautiful children, family and friends, they fulfilled one of Lee-Ella's greatest wishes: to marry the love of her life.

Sadly, Lee-Ella has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given weeks to six months to live.

As I stood with them that day, there was so much love, so much laughter and so many happy tears. It reminded everyone there that love isn't measured by how much time we have, but by how deeply we choose each other every single day.

Jarrad has left work to care for Lee-Ella and their four children full-time. Alongside the heartbreak of a terminal diagnosis, they're also facing enormous financial pressure, including medical costs, everyday living expenses and securing a safe place to call home.

If you're able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean so much. And if donating isn't possible, simply sharing their fundraiser could help it reach someone who can.

Every family deserves the chance to spend precious time together without the added weight of financial stress.

One of my favourite parts after a wedding is when a couple sends me a little sneak peek of their photos. 🥹💛

I was there, standing right beside them, but somehow photographers always capture moments from a completely different perspective... and I absolutely love seeing them.

Thank you both for trusting me with the legal side of your ceremony and for welcoming me into such a special celebration. It was a true gift to witness not only the love you share, but also the beautiful way your Christian faith was woven throughout your day.

Watching you stand before your family, friends and community, making those promises to one another, was incredibly special, and I'm so grateful I was there to make it official.

You are two truly beautiful people, inside and out, and I wish you every happiness in the years ahead.

Have you ever heard of a love story that started with a hand on the wrong part of a knee? 😂

Let me tell you about Ale & Reece...

Their first date was, in Ale's words, "very average." Reece turned up looking nothing like his dating profile, they ended up at McDonald's, and he spent an entire movie with his hand resting... right on her kneecap. Not exactly the smoothest start.

But somehow, that awkward first date turned into a love story that crossed continents. When Ale's visa was running out and she had to return to Colombia, Reece didn't hesitate.

"I can't lose you. I'm coming to Colombia."

Ten years later, after countless adventures, inside jokes, and a proposal where she'd unknowingly carried the question in her hand all day... they finally said "I do."

Proof that sometimes the best love stories don't start perfectly... they just keep showing up for each other. 💛
