Volunteers are the backbone of our communities!
We’re proud to support Volunteering Loddon Mallee in putting volunteering on the agenda for the Victorian election.
What support would make the biggest difference to your organisation and the volunteers who make it all happen?”

VOLUNTEERING COUNTS. BUT WHO SUPPORTS THE VOLUNTEERS?

Across rural and regional Victoria, volunteers keep our communities going.

They run sporting clubs, deliver meals, respond to emergencies, care for community facilities and bring people together.

But increasingly, volunteers are also expected to be administrators, fundraisers, compliance officers and managers.

We think the people who support our communities deserve some support themselves.

That's why Volunteering Loddon Mallee has put ten questions to candidates and parties contesting the Victorian election.

We're asking about practical support, sustainable funding, compliance, transport, wellbeing and the future of volunteering in our communities.

Responses are due Thursday 22 October.
We'll share what candidates say so you can see where they stand.

If you're involved in a volunteer organisation, what's the one thing government could do to make your work easier?

Tell us in the comments — and please share this post with your community networks.
