Beef Wellington - a delicious classic, a challenge, a bit of a soggy bottom, but still delicious!

Eatyourwords is temporarily shutdown till 2023 while Rikki has a double knee replacement.
We expect to be fully operational early in the new year.

We’re pretty vain about our looks in the hospitality industry. I’ve just had a Botox injection…………in both knees…………..Actually not Botox, but close (a synthetic lubricant fluid - probably much safer than other stuff!). Cheaper than knee replacements, and will keep me on my feet for a while yet (once the swelling goes down!)

An empty plate always puts a smile on my face, especially after a stressful day of prep without electricity…….we had to run extension leads from the neighbour’s unit to the oven to get everything ready

Brodie (16yo neighbour) caught a rainbow trout for us yesterday afternoon, so we cooked it for dinner. From dam to plate in about 1 hour! Sensational eating. (Oh, we had to use the floor mat from the car to make sure it didnt fall off the fishing line)

First attempt at vegetarian scotch eggs - FAIL
Second attempt looks much better!
Sausage mince replaced with peas, feta, parmesan & gluten free breadcrumbs……….DELICIOUS
