It’s no secret that fine local produce is a key ingredient, with Ginger Catering’s award-winning executive chef Janet Jeffs a leader in promoting the growing of good food in the Canberra region. The award-winning Village Centre and the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion feature floor to ceiling windows and extraordinary surroundings. Both buildings provide sweeping views over the landscaped grounds, Lake Burley Griffin and the city. Other points of interest include the large grassed Events Terrace and Amphitheatre, picnic decks, lookouts and outdoor sculptures. VILLAGE CENTRE
The landmark Arboretum venue, with spectacular summer evening views over the growing green forests, Lake Burley Griffin, and across the national capital. An elegant, light-filled space for ceremonies, receptions, cocktail parties, and formal dinners, available from 4pm, seven days a week. MARGARET WHITLAM PAVILION
A stunning architectural space, ideal for smaller meetings, cocktail parties, ceremonies and gatherings of up to 120 guests, the Pavilion offers intimacy within and a glorious vista over the city to the mountains beyond. EVENTS TERRACE
A large grassed terrace with expansive views; ideal for marquee events. AMPHITHEATRE
The great Amphitheatre, designed for outdoor events for more than 4 000 people, is Canberra’s most innovative and inspired venue where an event becomes part of the grand panorama. A popular large-scale venue for festivals and concerts.
