HaPPy BIRTHDAY RoB.

Your 58th year was one of extreme highs and lows. The birth of grand chikd #3 Otis and the death of our fur child Toto.
As always you've worked your arse off for us, even travelled to fnq, smashed every corner of the house at the dam to improve it for us, carried the load at home while ive been unwell the past 6 months.
Last year in your 50s old man, [or as Luke would say ' grandpa'].
We love you.... except when you snore allll night.

Happy mums day to all the ladies out there.

One of the endless joys of officiating marriages, is having the pleasure of giving women the ability to gain the same surname as their children.
(The photos in this past are those women over the past 12 months).

To all mums, ones who are grieving a baby / child, one's who are not able to become mums, women who are mums ( with several or first timers), step mums ... you are all seen by Jodes. ♡♡

Going HOME to officiate always fills my heart and soul.

John and Kahla Bodiam have built a beautiful life together, full of love, laughter, hard work, family, and plenty of country chaos along the way. From moving in together during Covid, to building their home and little empire on “Balloch” Farm near Wyangala, their story is one of genuine love, resilience, and never losing their sense of humour. John admires Kahla’s fearless attitude to life and incredible strength, while Kahla describes John as loyal, hardworking, and the kind of partner and dad who makes even the hard days feel lighter.

Friday 1st May delivered the most magical autumn wedding day... blue skies, 27°, incredible food, dancing under a full moon, and a dance floor absolutely brought to life thanks to Chad Croker and guests who came ready to party hard and bring the BEST vibes. Family pup Cracker stayed faithfully by bride Kahla’s side all day and well into the celebrations.
Mr and Mrs Rowley, may your marriage always be filled with laughter, adventure, and the beautiful love you already share with your three gorgeous children.

And personally, being asked to officiate the wedding of my gorgous friend Joanne's daughter was such an incredible honour. A added plus, was officiating alongside Damien, who I’ve known since we were in Year 2 together back in 1982, with his beautiful wife Hope there celebrating alongside everyone.

A HUGE thanks to my hubbie for his help. I literally wouldn't have been able to officiate if not for his help.

Happy wedding week to these two lovely people, Connor and Tash.

They met via work thanks to a helicopter. While they work in the same gov department, they have lived so much of their relationship apart, over-coming the challenges of a long distance relationship. These two wonderful souls have been busy planning their dream wedding while also building their first home in another state.
Connor and Tash, I can't wait to stand with you both as I share your story with your intimate gathering of family and friends, and hear you read your beautiful vows to one another.

I still have limited availability for 2026 weddings, so please feel free to send through an enquiry.

That said, I am no longer available to officiate weddings on Fridays.

After almost 23 years with ACT Education, and working part-time over the past five years, I’m excited to be starting a new full-time role with ACT Health next week. This change means I can no longer take on weekday bookings moving forward.

✨ If you have already booked me for a Friday ceremony — please don’t stress.
All existing Friday bookings will absolutely be honoured, and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating with you.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support as I step into this new chapter.
