Every day this August is am walking in memory of my besties grandson Tate, who only lived for a brief moment after he was born premie on 1st July.
Tates aunty Amy and I have teamed up. Amy will ne walking daily in Coffs.
Every day this month I will take this photo of Tates tiny foot prints with me.

" Family isn’t just blood — it’s heart, it’s history, it’s spirit " .

These four souls beside me in this photo are who made me, the Jodes you know today. These four souls were my whole world during my teenage years. Im talking back to 1989. Jane and Pete were my very first bosses at the Wyangala servo + waterslides. I became their weekends and school holidays babysitter to their two sons. I've always stayed in contact with Jane + Pete. They came to our wedding 24 years ago. Ten years ago, I saw Matte dance in Canberra, I've never seen anyone dance as awesome as he does. I'd not seen Stephen for 30 + years, until this week. ( this photo) To meet his wife and daughter was beyond lovely. To talk to him, it felt like just 5 years, not 30. To see Stephen + Matte again was ♡♡.
My next stop is to see Stephen race in Canberra in August and to travel to NZ in 2026 to meet Mattes husband. Ideally, Jane will be on the same flight over.
Always have + always will love you Pete, Jane, Stephen and Matte.

MY BUCKET IS FULL !!

I escaped to the country to write wedding ceremonies. When a bride text me this message, after they've read what I've written / created for them, it hits my heart + soul.

Three wonderful days with wild kids ( baby goats ) , lambs, blue skies and mountains, dinner with a mate I've known since 1982, a cuppa with Carmel (from my childhood years here), dinner at the Dunks, meeting even more locals (one potentially my newest couple, my first booking to officiate at Wyangala). Your not a local in the country unless your car tyres are coated in cow pooh, thanks to cattle on the move along Frogmore highway.

School holidays are at an end, so I'll drive back to the capital .....back in the classrooms for term three.

Att property owners along Frogmore and Wyangala Roads, this post is for you.

On my way to my house at Wyangala this afternoon, I dropped my card into some of your road-side mailboxes
WHY?
Because rural weddings and funerals on family farms, in any rural location are special, and I'd LOVE to be considered to officiate out your way. PLUS, you just never know whose after a celebrant.
Lovely to see the paddocks so green as only months ago, they were bare dust.
