I’m honestly a little shocked by this one.
This year I was once again awarded Best Planner of the Year, and Capital Events took out Best Stylist & Decorator in the Region.
What’s perhaps most surprising is that over the past 12 months, I’ve intentionally simplified the business. I’ve stepped away from large-scale styling installations, reduced our hire inventory significantly, and shifted my focus toward what I love most – wedding planning, event management, coordination and helping clients bring their vision to life.
In many ways, the business looks very different to what it did a few years ago.
That’s why these awards feel so incredibly meaningful.
To be recognised at a time when I’ve become more intentional about the work I take on, taking steps back and more focused on the services that truly light me up, is something I’m deeply grateful for.
To every couple, client and organisation who has trusted me with their wedding, event or special occasion, thank you. Being invited into such important moments in people’s lives is a privilege I never take for granted.
And to everyone who voted, supported me, referred me, recommended me, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines – thank you. Your support means more than you know.
After all these years, I still genuinely love what I do, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to do it.
Very grateful. Very humbled. And still a little shocked.
