Join us in congratulating TSRA’s new Chief Executive Officer – Charlie Kaddy!

🦈 Charlie is a proud Dauareb man from the Meriam Nation of the Torres Strait.

He said it is a privilege to oversee TSRA’s day-to-day administration supported by a strong local workforce.

“I am honoured to be appointed as CEO at this exciting time as we welcome a new TSRA Board in 2025,” Charlie said.

“Our dedicated workforce will work alongside TSRA’s Board to ensure stability, dedication and commitment to our people, communities, land and sea of the Torres Strait.”

Mr Kaddy joined us back in 1995 – just a year into TSRA’s establishment – before rising up the ranks.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in the Australian Public Service, including with not-for-profit organisations and the region’s peak native title body, Gur A Baradharaw Kod Torres Strait Sea and Land Council Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal Corporation (GBK).

Grass Roots Advisory Services (GRAS) was established in April 2019, with a vision of advocating, empowering and supporting ‘Grass Roots’ Organisations. GRAS is a self-established, self-funded, Indigenous owned & operated company established in the Cairns City area. Our client-base-area spreads across the Far North Queensland region with direct connections to Aboriginal, Torres Strait & Pacific Islander people, clans, nations and groups. Our services are extended to all non-indigenous people and groups, individuals, associations, organisations, companies, businesses, stall holders, performers, artists, service providers, vendors and many more.
