For the last week or so I’ve been participating in the Cairns Artist in Residence program and running workshops for . I’m situated in the middle of the extraordinary botanical gardens and seriously feel like I’ve landed in another world that can only be described as paradise. Here’s a tiny glimpse of what’s on offer including a snap of wonderful Torres Strait Islander headpieces at the Cairns Regional Art gallery. Thanks Tanks!!!!

We might be getting a little ahead of ourselves, but Steve Poltz is on his way!

Playing the Tanks THU 2 APR, you can expect chaos, something a little strange, and no doubt a weird story or two — that’s just the kinda guy he is.

He’s got more than a dozen albums, countless tours, and is still one of the most original voices in the game.
