When I first saw this Sulphur Crested White Cockatoo line-up in a public post I had to go and check it out myself. Sure enough as my source reported, all convened at 6:45pm on the power-lines. It was very noisy and there must have been hundreds of them. Quite a spectacle for bird lovers.

These stunning beauties never tire my hungry eyes. Such delicate creatures. This one's been around the block a few times, and has the scars to show it, tattered wing-tips and such. They are also very aware of proximate dangers. I approached him in a white dress and he took off and fluttered about manically until he eventually settled in exactly the same spot. A simple moment I captured while in the middle of Cairns City. I was looking up for a moment and it seemed like all the bats in the world were flying South. The colours of the sunset that day were particularly moody with its dark heavy clouds around. I've put an 'artistic' filter on this photo of 'cross-hatching brushwork' because I thought it already looked like a painting, not a photograph. What do you think about artistic filters? I like them when applied in a gentle manner as opposed to a complete blanket affect😍
