Taormina Blues 🩵
We spent our first two weeks of our European trip in Sicily, with our first stop being 4 nights in Taormina. While the main village is up on a cliff top (accessible by cable car or a steep and winding drive up the hill), the beach area of Taormina is where we chose to stay. Being a water baby and knowing how hot it was going to be (40’c days), we wanted to be close to the water to spend days in the ocean, lazing around at the beach clubs where many Aperol spritz were consumed. We ate the freshest seafood, caught the cable car upto the main village to explore and back to our hotel balcony for a glass of vino in the evening. Our hotel was straight across the road from the beach (with one of the best views from our hotel room balcony) for less than 200euro per night. Taormina has to be of our favourite places in Sicily and one we would definitely return to.

I shot all of these on my new Sony RX100 Vii - small enough to fit in your pocket with a 200mm zoom. My new favourite travel camera.

Spring has arrived 🌸 I can’t believe it’s September already and 2025 is almost over! It feels like I blinked and this year has disappeared.
Between lots of shoots and travelling for almost 2 months, it feels like last Spring was yesterday.
I’ve just realised that I have only posted 13 times on here this year (whereas I used to post every day). I think it’s been due to a few things - the majority of my work this year has been shooting commercial work where I haven’t had to post on here for work - for travel & tourism clients (thanks Qantas 😉), Airbnbs & Accom, Events, Real Estate & so much more. Plus I’ve had creative block when it comes to what to post on here. There are so many aspects to my business that take up my time (social media campaigns, photography, videography, my online print store, content creation, social media management, social media & content coaching/mentoring) that I’ve found it hard to find the time to post and when I do goto post something I get stuck. Lack of confidence, self sabotage, not feeling like my work is ‘enough’ take hold. Thoughts race - does anyone even want to see my work anymore? What do people want to see? Do I post my Europe, Byron, Tenterfield, Landscape, Fine Art Prints, Accom content? Then I realised - it’s my job, it’s my passion. I read back through a whole pile of DMs and comments on my Instagram account from people who have thanked me for sharing my travels - they’ve booked the accommodation that I’ve shared, visited a region, location or business that I’ve posted, stepped out and experienced Australia & the World more. This was always one of the reasons that I’ve shared my work for the last 12 years - to inspire others.
So….i’m back. If you read this far, thanks for still being here and supporting me & my work and reading my rambles! Let me know what you love to see x

Feeling very honoured to have won the Excellence in Micro Business Award at the Tenterfield Business Awards last night. It’s such a privilege to be recognised alongside so many incredible local businesses doing amazing things.

Since going full-time in my photography business at the end of 2019, it’s been a huge journey - long days, lots of time on the road, plenty of challenges, and plenty of moments where I’ve had to back myself. But I genuinely love what I do, and I feel incredibly lucky to have turned my passion into a career.

While I shoot a mix of landscape, travel, lifestyle, people, families, airbnbs, real estate, events, business and commercial photography, most of my work is with tourism boards, travel brands and businesses within Australia and around the World - creating imagery and content that tells a story, inspires people to explore new places and experiences, and helps promote destinations to the world.

What an honour to be recognised for what i do.

I absolutely love sharing my photography through my Online Print Store - that creative side is such a big part of what drives me.

I have so many facets to my business, alot of which i dont show or promote on here (but maybe i should) which includes not only photography, but also content creation, short form videos, drone stills & videography, social media management and consulting to help businesses and regions grow.

Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me and my business - this means a lot.

Golden 💛✨

I’ve just added a new print to my Online Print Store ~ Golden ~ a moment that reminds me of afternoons in the bay. That golden glow of an afternoon swim, after a lighthouse walk, floating in the ocean, sitting on the sand and watching the golden hues change as the day ends.

I have many new (and old) images that I’ll be adding as prints to my store. It’s been a while since I’ve spent a decent amount of time going through my image library and it made me realise how much my print store truly brings me joy. While I’ve been selling lots of prints, especially custom orders, I just haven’t spent much time adding new ones. Life’s been busy over the last few months, with back to back photoshoots for clients, travel for work, Christmas and our wedding - it’s crazy that it’s almost the end of February already!

From scenes of my hometown, Byron Bay, to moments from my travels across Australia and beyond, each print is created to bring a sense of place, memory, and emotion into your home or workspace.

So watch this space, I’ll be adding some new prints, I’ll also be doing some more giveaways (it’s been a while). After 15 years of selling prints it still brings me the most joy. Watch this space x ✨
