On Friday I had the absolutely joy of conducting a ceremony for these two lovelies. I have known the bride since she was about 7 and watched her grow into the beautiful woman that she is today.
To marry her to her best friend, this absolute gentlemen and legend really was an honour.
Congrats Eve & Vlad and thank you for trusting me with this special moment in your lives.

I've done many weddings over my years as a celebrant, including a crazy sky diving wedding, but this weekend was something special - I got to go up in a hot air balloon with the awesome crew at Balloon Aloft Australia - Byron Bay, and marry this gorgeous couple.

After a one year postponement - thank you covid - their plans changed from a big wedding with all the bells and whistles to a simple elopement ........ just the two fo them, the groom's two daughters, their photographer, a hot air balloon the pilot, and me, drifting through the skies on this perfect Autumn morning, above Byron Bay. And it couldn't have been more perfect!

And with our awesome pilot Eddie landing us in the "Love" paddock at Mullumbimby - well, what a perfect ending!

Such a special day and such an amazing moment to share.

N E W Y E A R - N E W B E G I N N I N G S

I don't even have the words to describe last year, except for maybe saying that it's a year I will never forget.

Having said that, I have just completed the most amazing two weeks away at my regular little holiday spot and am back and ready to roll for the new year.

With a huge line up of weddings on the horizon, many of whom have postponed from last year, I am looking forward to watching so many beautiful couples start their next chapter of their journey as husband and wife.

So here's to new years and new beginnings!

Byron Bay Wedding Fair is on again.

You'll find me at the Byron Bay Surf Club, but in the mean time, I'm super excited to hear that this amazing venue is almost back up and running and will be opening it's brand new doors for inspections by appointment during the fair.

We're excited to announce we will be revealing the finished restaurant at the upcoming on Sunday, 7th February! Come and check out the new space (this will be by appt only so we can manage numbers). Two of my favourite moments from Rajani & Kevin’s ceremony on Friday!

1. An emotional hug after the bride’s brother accompanies her down the aisle, as her parents were unable to travel out from Nepal due to Covid; and

2. The bride’s beautiful and heartfelt vows to the groom’s daughters. Not going to lie, I may have shed a tear during this moment as well 🥰🥲
