I have news…but let’s take a walk down memory lane first…

1) my first ever trip to the markets! tagged along for the ride

2) the first bunch I sold on my IG stories not knowing it was going to start my business

3) starting to find my style 🌱

4)WFH ft chaos. Business started booming and every surface in my wee studio became a work station

5) the cutest lil bouquet making workshop birthday party

6) I moved into my first studio! The best feeling, I’d made it!

7) We painted the walls and installed the most badass work bench made by

8) My first wedding! All the blooms loaded into the van ready to go

9) The workhorse! Cosmo the caddy that did 293647297368 deliveries. With my first surfboard strapped to the roof. Sneaking in waves on my deliveries trying to learn how to surf

10) Finding my flow in my designs. Deeper understanding of colour, size and textures 🎨

11) Floral foam free wedding install with one of my besties

12) Purely a hydrangea appreciation post bc they are elite 🤷🏼‍♀️

13) first hanging installation at a waterside wedding

15) Bought my beloved van through Fika :’) proud as could be

16) time to pack up the studio, and head north 🌱🦋

17) My sweet grandmas funeral, and her flowers x

18) living and workin in the van- an intimate time 🫠

19) More wedding prep via van, this time in my brothers driveway

20) Full market haul of blooms came all the way up to my sweet cottage in Clunes.

These just 19 moments of thousands. Warming memories for me in growing this beautiful business Fika

There are many ways to work with flowers, and this is one that is key to my ceremony process 💍💘

I don’t want to control them,
but to be in clear and open communication with them…just like any good relationship really!

Every design met together 💡
Every stem placed from instinct 🌸
Every palette guided by both season and the story🍃

Something that runs deeper than just “aesthetic”

I feel like there’s something innately feminine about this process (and not for limited to females, ofcourse) but there is something in the nature of this work that asks EQUALLY for expression and for a deep listening

…recently I’ve realised…that my work is finding that sweet spot

It’s been quiet on here for a while — but not empty

I’ve been here, quietly rethinking what flowers and floristry are reallyyy for

I’ve come to learn that flowers are far from simply decoration, but an offering.

🪷 A ritual in bloom🪷

A gesture of meaning

A witness to something deeper

That said, I am reshaping how I work — slowly, intentionally.

A few snippets into the beautiful Nathaly and Redhas wedding at ✂️🌸🍃 It was an absolute pleasure bringing together the timeless combination of greens and whites for this brief…..but ofcourse with a whimsical, organic twist!

For me, the star of the show was a flower called Pirus. Which I think may just take the title of my favourite flower! I love the delicacy it brings to arrangements, like little droplets of pearls. I used other seasonal blooms like (my tied favourite) Cymbidum orchids, scabiosa, Ranunculas, roses, cala Lillie’s, hellebore and many more!
