The heavy scene came together to help save one of the most unique offerings in Australia, helping Blacken Open Air reach their $1,000,000 target and keep the wheels turning.
We did our bit as the QLD host, in what was a national day of support, with a bunch of amazing acts banding together for the cause on Saturday at Mo's Desert Clubhouse.
Big ups to HELM, Snake Mountain, Blind Girls, Couch Wizard, Awful Noise, Bunny Racket and the Lagerstein DJs for donating their time and riffs, which saw us raise over $5k towards the future of NT heavy.
Props also to CBCo Brewing Margaret River for karma keg donation and HEAVY Magazine for help getting the word out.
Community is everything. Music is necessary. Event facilitators build the foundations.

Introducing Jordan Buckets Pavey someone who doesn’t need an introduction at all, Mo’s longest standing in house photographer showcasing at 7 YEARS LOUD PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION // FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER ⚡️

Snacks For Your Eyes Photography was born from an ankle injury and exhaustion of doom-scrolling. About 10 years ago, I decided to pick up my brother’s camera and go take photos of whatever I could find in the garden around home. My ankle was strapped up in a moonboot and I was on crutches. I fell in love with a world I’d never had the chance to see with my own eyes before. I wanted to share this world with people, whilst simultaneously providing people with a brief respite from the constant onslaught of social media. Hence, Snacks For Your Eyes was born.
