Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is really what Social Mums Club is all about: Together We Thrive.

Motherhood can be lonely. Whether you’re home with a new baby and adjusting to a whole new life, juggling work and family and putting your own social life last, or your kids have all grown up and you’ve forgotten who you are, it is so easy to feel like you’re all alone.

If you’ve attended a Social Mums Club event, I hope you now know you don’t have to do it solo. There is a group of lovely women just waiting to welcome you to the club.

Remember, connection isn’t a luxury, it’s one of the best things we can do for our mental health.

A huge thank you to Emble for hosting us last week for our “taking the stress out of mealtimes” event.

As a Mum with a fussy toddler myself, I learnt so much from Emble’s dietician Sami that I have already started implementing. We all had a chance to share the challenges we are currently experiencing and Sami was able to provide guidance and strategies to help making life a little easier.

If you weren’t able to make it and you’re struggling with meal times in your home, I highly recommend reaching out to Emble for some support.

Open ended play is having a moment, and this setup at Kool Kidz Mill Park is a beautiful example.

Natural materials that can become anything, with letters scattered through the grass. One child sees a forest, another hunts for the letters in their name, another builds a home for the little explorer. Every version is the right one.

It’s all part of their play based Kool Beginnings Curriculum, and you can feel how much care goes into every space.

Reason 37263 why I love Fit for 2!
A couple of weeks ago my son was sick so all of my plans went out the window (including my exercise class). But instead of missing my workout altogether, I just hopped on Zoom and got moving from home while he played at home around me. Here I am being an absolutely fitspo as you can see. If I can do it - so can you!

Minimal equipment is required, making it super easy for anyone to participate from home. And if you do need some weights or resistance bands, Anita organises it all for you.
