Fantastic day for the team with 2 winners from 2 runners on cup day at Murwillumbah today 🥇🥇

Firstly GAVIN saluted in race 1 under Leah Martyn for trainer Jordan Lee, before CARACORON put them away in race 4 under Jake Bayliss, also trained by Jordan Lee.

Massive congratulations to the great group of owners in both horses, Jake and Leah for great rides and a massive thank you to trainer Jordan Lee who does a fantastic job with the team under trying conditions in the rainy Northern Rivers 🙏

Big thrill today as CARACORON finished all over the top of them 2nd up over 1600m at Grafton today 🥇

Big congratulations to a great group of owners and a big thank you to Jordan Lee and his team at Ballina on having the horse in fine order. Great ride from Jake Bayliss from an ordinary draw.

Hopefully he pulls up well and we get our shot in Sydney in 10 days time 💪💪

Introducing 3yo Exceed And Excel gelding LAND SPEED.

Originally a $400,000 Inglis purchase, we have picked him up from Inglis Digital for $2,000.

In his most recent run, LAND SPEED finished 4th (last 600 in 32.90) behind Horseshoe Hill, who in turn finished 3rd in a 200k listed race to O’Ole, who won the $3,000,000 MM 2yo classic on the Gold Coast.

Before that he finished behind Benzou (last 600 in 33.41) who has gone on to win at Metropolitan level and amass $120,000 in prize money.

LAND SPEED has had 2 trials and 1 race start this preparation and will arrive at Jordan Lee Racing Stables ready to race.

We head to Ballina Cup Day with CARACORON today, searching for our 3rd win in a row. Certainly a step up from her first 2 wins but a good draw and rider puts us in the picture to keep climbing through the grades with this progressive stayer.

The $17,000 purchased has now won $31,200 in his first prep so hopefully we can improve on that before earning a well earned rest.

Anders x Lady Llewellyn 2yo filly

A lovely big filly who will likely race lightly as a late 2yo with a serious 3yo campaign in mind.

This filly went into her breeze up at the MM sales very raw as it was her first time being asked to lengthen out posting a really nice time of 11.06 (see video)

She was relaxed and balanced in the run with a nice finish, this filly screams 1400-1600m 3yo races to me.

Breeze up rider Jai Williams was impressed with the fillies professionalism and education, considering it was her first time on the GC track and first time tested.

X-rays were good. Scope was clear of wind abnormalities and she is sound in conformation.

Nominated and completed breeze up and sales prep but was withdrawn by owner to race.

Completed barrier education and short first prep. Is currently spelling but will be back in shortly with a few to trialing February/March.

After a quiet few months we went bang band with 2 winners in 4 days. Firstly, PER CAPITA flew home to nab them on the line first up at good odds at Ballina before CARACORON, first time over a suitable journey, was too strong for them at Grafton 🥇🥇

Massive congratulations to the owners of both horses, particularly a few first time owners. Also thank you to Bubba Tilley and Luke Rolls for the great rides and to Stephen, Amanda, Jordy and the great team at Stephen Lee Racing that do a fantastic job with the horses. 🙏 🙏

Introducing our latest purchase, 4yo gelding CARACORON

After winning a NZ trial, defeating subsequent G1 NZ Derby 4th place getter, G2 runner up and listed winner Just As Sharp, CARACORON was originally brought to Australia as a potential Derby prospect that never quite eventuated.

A $17,000 purchase, CARACORON is now in work on the beach with Stephen Lee at Ballina and will look to trial in about a month ready for a campaign, meaning you won’t need to wait long to watch him race.

We think we can place him well in the Northern Rivers and SE QLD area to get a quick return on our purchase.

As you may have noticed, we haven’t post anything for a while and that is due to a licensing issue. We have now relaunched as CRONUS Thoroughbreds.

We have now added Stephen Lee Racing to cover the Northern Rivers and Lindsay Hatch Racing to cover Toowoomba and North Queensland.

Our focus will remain the same in that we will focus on the tried horse market with a mission unlock their potential and place them in suitable regions for success.

After a hot start to the new season, Gold Coast race caller Mitch Manners ventured over to Jay Bellamy Racing stables to discuss his 2 winners on Saturday, apprentice Jai Williams and his successful transition from Harness trainer and driver to the gallopers 🔥🔥
