The “Rats of Tabrok” were an Australian led garrison who definitely took on the name after being likened to “rats in a trap” they defended their position for eight months - just one of the many stories of tenacity and bravery shown by our Australian soldiers in times of war. This year, we have no surviving members of this garrison left, but their memory and sacrifice for our country will live on - Lest We Forget.
