I married these two beautiful souls on Saturday. It was emotional, intimate and stunning for so many reasons.

We met each other in person for the first time 10 minutes before the ceremony began and it only took a warm smile and a big embrace to know this was going to be perfect.

Sometimes my couples couldn’t be anymore different which makes my job so interesting but one thing is that they’re all super great people.

It’s Trickey Tricky Trickey…

Mel and Shane stuck to their guns after a couple of locky D postponements and did it their way with all of the original crew. And boy was it worth it.
We trekked into the ceremony space in thongs, converse high tops, boots…whatever it took. There had been a s**t tonne of rain but the day shone gloriously for us.

Let the wedstival begin!

ELOPEMENTS don’t have to be dull. I couldn’t have been more beside myself when Raman & Peter asked if I’d be up for a challenge. I said and then watched every episode in 4 weeks to give them Moira Rose. ❤️

It was Netty & Jay’s love for motorcycles that turned the ignition and amped up the RPM’s as they took the coast road to love town.

They tied the knot at one of their fave local places…a place of sustainability, longevity, a place to relax in nature…oh and a random tram car. They were total bosses in front of the camera…Jay is usually the man behind the lens and today worked the angles from the spotlight position. Netty a musician and total babe new exactly what to do…together those pics are gonna be smokin 🔥

Today I forgot the marriage documents. It was the first time in near 500 weddings…26 weddings in 5 weeks and 2 to go…I’m burnt. Luckily I live around the corner and was back 10 minutes after the ceremony for a relaxed signing of the cert.

What a gorgeous couple of humans who are equal parts fun & wholesome. Both doctors who met like what reads as an 80’s midday soap opera…hot, single, smart & witty. These two have a great attitude to everything and a huge respect for family…I couldn’t love them more!

AND we’re back! Nothing like a cheeky little hump day nuptials. Brad & Justine had a couple of red hot cracks at having the big wedding before deciding they just wanted to get married because at the end of the day that’s what it’s about. They took their 7 closest mates for a two day treat in Wensleydale where they’ll be lounging around sipping cocktails and having a laugh like they were when I left them today. There were vows from Panterra and a whole lotta love.

Great working with & today. Thanks for making me feel at ease and seamlessly slipping back on the horse.

I’M BACK, LIKE I NEVER LEFT…
Actually I never left, I’m just over doing tonnes of glorious small weddings.

I’ve decided not to take on anymore new weddings until this madness subsides…2034? Anyone’s guess.

All of my gorgeous current couples have had to cancel their dreams many times and I’ll ride it out with them. But I’ve gotta say over at The Altar Electric we’re alive and kicking. We’ve been plenty of couples plan B and they couldn’t be happier…worth thinking about.
