Dashboard Animals

Dashboard Animals Screen based events, creative production, design and immersive storytelling. The hitchhikers who tune your radio into something new.

A Dashboard Animal is a shiny but shy hood ornament; a nodding dog with anger management issues; a melted plastic wildebeest that’s never been kissed; a Lotto scratch ticket that sings to you of untold riches. They’re the strange and beautiful things you want to take with you on a shared journey. The odd stories that fill the car as the road rises ahead. This is what Dashboard Animals is all about

. We formed the company in 2000 after working together on a season of cabarets in Melbourne. Kunst developed a cult following and was the launching pad for a number of successful acts. (And we have the photographs to prove it.) We liked putting on a show and wanted to take it further. We liked working with performers and exploring new writing and making stylish moving pictures. So we built a production house around our unique perspective.
