🌈💔 WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, DOLLY 💔🌈

Today the world feels a little less colourful, a little less sparkly and a whole lot quieter.

We say goodbye to the incomparable Dolly Parton — 80 years of music, rhinestones, enormous hair, wicked humour, generosity and, above all, an enormous bloody heart.

For our LGBTQIA+ community, Dolly was so much more than a country music legend. She was an ally who never seemed to need a lesson in simply letting people be who they are and loving them for it. She stood for acceptance, defended our community, embraced drag and reminded the world — often in that wonderfully Dolly way — that kindness costs absolutely nothing.

She didn't just tolerate difference. She celebrated it. 🌈

And that's why generations of q***r people loved her right back.

From all of us at Broome Pride, thank you, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the outrageous glamour, the generosity, and for using that enormous platform of yours to make people who sometimes felt like outsiders feel seen, welcome and loved.

There will only ever be one Dolly Parton.

Rest easy, you magnificent rhinestone-covered bloody legend. ✨🦋🌈

We will always love you. ❤️

🐾 Support SAFE Broome this Saturday! 🐾

We're proud to be supporting Cause 4 Paws 2026 this Saturday, 8 August, at Matso's Broome from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, helping raise much-needed funds for SAFE Broome and the incredible work they do rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming vulnerable animals across our community.

SAFE currently has more than 60 animals in foster care, with veterinary costs exceeding $10,000 every month, so every ticket, bid and donation makes a real difference.

🎉 Broome Pride is excited to be donating one of the raffle prizes!
