Absolute cuties Amie & Jack actually met in Grade 1 - but it took until High School for them to be sat together in Science, and by that stage Amie had a crush and wondered, “He is so cool, I wonder if he likes the same bands as me?”

It wasn’t until years later when they finally fell in love though & since then they haven’t looked back.

A couple of - these two pivoted to have their wedding at with there to capture it & on florals.

Alex & Elliot didn’t let a little bit of rain dampen their wedding day - it’s a big part of who they are: all optimism & super chill.

After meeting on Tinder they teed up a date which resulted in Alex meeting Elliot’s cats. He’s fairly sure they sealed the deal for him - but Alex thought he was a dish & was pretty sold on his Scottish accent.

They had an epic celebration at with there to capture it all.

Laura & Luke have one of those relationship stories that span oceans and hemispheres. First introduced in New York, they later found each other again in peak pandemic times and fell into a beautiful long distance love where they spent a lot of time bonding over music.

In front of 20 of their best these two shared sweet words & promises to love each other forever. Even thinking of it now I get a little rush of joy.

These two angels have been married for just over a week now & I’m thoroughly enjoying insta-stalking their European honeymoon.

Nelson & Chris planned an absolute belter of a wedding at my fave with the wonderful & there to capture it all.

They are a Tinder success story, which is wild given how close they both lived to the 80km cut off AND also that Chris’ profile was all emojis.

We laughed, we cried, we quoted Kath & Kim.

The dress code was “dress tizzy” - I loved it all.

When I get out of the way for your vows - ie. you’re brave enough to hold the mic yourself (it’s rare) I can let my face go with full unconstrained abandon. 😂 Fair to say I do not have a poker face.

Caitlin & Michael said some very lovely and very funny things to each other and (my divine and talented friend) was there to capture it all.

Mardy & Chris had a stunning wedding at with & there to capture it all.

They are a Tinder success story from over ten years ago. They now are doting parents to a darling greyhound called Sadie & a flock of chickens.

On that, Mardy told me: “One time, about 6 weeks into our relationship we decided to build a chicken coop together because Chris’s pet chickens were sleeping in a converted greenhouse. My visions of a cute little wooden henhouse were quickly dashed when Chris brought out the welder and told me of his idea for a 2m tall metal structure. That was the first time we argued and it resulted in a crash course in each others likes, dislikes, strong opinions, but we also learnt each other’s communications styles and how to respect each other’s opinion. I tell ya, that thing almost broke us. But I tell you what’s not broken, the 2m tall metal chicken coop, that thing can withstand cyclones.”

Kylie & Terry got married on a cruise ship with a whole bunch of lovely pals who all partied with them for four days to Airlie Beach.

Kylie planned 90% of the wedding - can you guess the part that Terry picked?? 🦇

These two were so easy to work with - they just wanted a loved up party vibe & that’s exactly what they got. ❤️

Worked alongside angels who managed to smash out a ton of video in the few hours we were allowed on the ship.

The lovely Lucy sent this amazing capture through to me & I feel it PERFECTLY sums up why I love the way I write ceremonies.

Seeing your faces as I share what you have said about each other - mentally high giving myself for when the bit I wanted to get the LOLs gets ‘em. It’s such a treat watching it all go down.

It’s also a huge part of the reason I stopped sending ceremonies through for you to proof read. I love the idea that while you have thought of and planned every detail of your day: this bit is going to be surprise.

Not gonna lie, I felt a little thrill of joy run through me today when I got the notice from Births, Deaths & Marriages saying that these two were officially married.

My cyclone sweethearts Lucy & Braedon made the call to get married two days earlier than planned and put their big Calile celebration on hold.

A choice very well made given the rain & wind that hit on their planned date.

Also: now they are married, honeymooned and have ANOTHER epic reception to look forward to! Not a bad way to do it.

These two managed to replan their entire wedding in four hours. That’s right - Lucy & Braedon were due for a big city wedding tomorrow complete with a reception at The Calile. While the reception is postponed, they couldn’t wait to get married and when two very generous pals offered up their house for a party, they jumped at it.

With a 30 minute rain free window, we gathered on the front lawn and I got to share a very fun ceremony with their nearest and dearest.

By all accounts it seems they had the best night complete with beers, living room dancing, KFC & late night swimming. To be honest, it sounds pretty bloody perfect.
