Celebrating another year of marriage to the love of my life, and I’m sharing some of the moments from my own wedding day that didn’t exactly go as planned. Life’s unpredictable, but that’s what makes it beautiful - and a good backup plan doesn’t hurt either!

Taking a little Christmas breather from 22 Dec to 5 Jan to enjoy my little girl’s second Christmas - the magic feels extra sweet this year. 🥰
I’ll still be keeping an eye on emails and enquiries (wedding dreams don’t sleep!), but I’ll be working reduced hours while I’m with the family.

If you’re getting married, you’ve probably already thought about your budget. Maybe you’ve even seen those Facebook posts asking “How much should I spend on X vendor?”

Here’s the truth you won’t get from those groups: your $50k budget isn’t the same as someone else’s $50k budget. Why? Priorities.

This is the very first thing you should figure out when wedding planning — before you even mention the word “budget.”

Your wedding priorities will shape where the bulk of your spend goes. As an example, I’ve mocked up two $50k budgets — completely different breakdowns, simply because the couples had different priorities.

Of course, this isn’t a full budget (no buffers or hidden extras that a planner would know to include!) nor is it truly reflective of what vendors charge, but it shows just how unique two weddings at the same value can be.

💍Couple 1, who prioritises guest experience, is splashing some cash for a live band.
💍Couple 2, invested in capturing the day, is spending more than double what Couple 1 is on photography.
