Jamilla & Scot…..the picture-perfect couple who said “I do” on the most epic day, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. 🤍

To say being their celebrant was a privilege would be a massive understatement, because these two have always held such a special place in my heart.

You see, Jamilla was my middle son’s Grade 5 teacher. Way back then, we’d chat about my weddings and what I do, so when she reached out and asked me to be the one to marry her and Scot, I was genuinely humbled. What an honour to be trusted with such a special moment in their lives. 🥹

Their wedding was absolute perfection, sophisticated, beautiful and, most importantly, completely them. The love that surrounded them was undeniable. From the incredible live music by Manū Music - Wedding & Event Band SEQ to the beautiful traditional elements celebrating Jamilla’s heritage, every little detail felt so personal and meaningful.
Being part of their wedding journey was an absolute honour, and I’ll always be grateful that you trusted me to stand beside you and marry you both.

Did I have fun working with Katherine from Captured By Katherine - Brisbane at Carissa & Matt’s wedding and reception?…………. Ummmmm YASSSSSSS!!!!

This wonderful human is so down-to-earth and we just click. Her style of photography is natural and creative, she navigates the space with professionalism and captures precious moments with ease.

We both stayed onto capture & MC their reception so needless to say there were a lot of laughs and photos taken. These here were taken on my phone but you get the gist. 😉

I picked out my dress for Amelia & Liam’s wedding based on Amelia telling me the bridesmaids were wearing pink, orange & green. But I forgot to ask if they were more pastel colours or brighter colours so I took a chance and I have to admit I was worried…..

Worried the dress I chose was way too bright 😬
BUT……..check out the photos……I accidentally nailed it baby! You could have thought the flowers were picked right out of my dress! Whoot Whoot 🩷

I really loved the bright pops of colour they chose and with the rainforest ambiance it was just perfect!

Meeting the parents on the day that their son or daughter are getting married is without doubt one of the highlights of my day. I remember just how excited my Mum was on my wedding day nearly 20years ago, she was ‘almost’ more excited than me. 😂

So, here I’m meeting Liam’s Mum & Dad at Wedding Venue | Functions | Accommodation | Mt Cotton, QLD while we greeted other guests arriving. They were extremely proud of their son and it was so heartwarming.

Kylie & Jordan got married in the comfort of their home in front of their nearest & dearest. It was ‘very them’ and loved that Kylie chose to wear black. So of course I had to match the theme wearing a dress with pink flowers and black detail. 💕

Brian didn’t miss a single moment, he captured all the feelings so authentically and his natural style resulted in photos that will instantly transport the couple back to their wedding day in many years to come.

Before Kate & Tom booked me they asked “how are you with young kids & a bit of chaos?”
More than fine! I explained having 3 sons has conditioned me to handle absolutely anything when it comes to to kids & just rolling with it.

OMG I have to say I wasn’t prepared for how funny this was going to be if I’m honest. We had three little 2 year olds including their son Billy running around the ceremony space crying for their parents who were the bride & groom and a few of the bridesmaids so that’s was happening mid ceremony…..absolutely fine….but then there was a big splash and the little girl fell head first, full body into the pond in front of all the guests! I turned to see one of the men half in the pond fetching her out then the dad running around the guests with his soaking daughter. (No one was injured)

Seriously, the whole bridal party was in stitches & I couldn’t help but giggle. It was a beautiful chaos. Kate just said to me “I told you it would be crazy” 😂

Loved every minute of marrying this down-to-earth couple.
