5 wedding decisions worth considering: from a wedding content creator’s perspective

Some wedding decisions carry more weight than people realise.

After spending weekends documenting weddings, we’ve learnt that it’s often the quieter decisions that shape a day the people around you, the experience you invest in and the details that influence how everything feels.

These are ours.

1. Experience changes everything

Beautiful work matters. Experience does too. There’s a different ease that comes from working with vendors who understand the pace and unpredictability of a wedding day.

2. Perfection rarely stays perfect

Somewhere between portraits, happy tears and dancing, dresses become a little less pristine. And often, the moments worth remembering begin there.

3. The vows shot hits different

One small shift can completely change the feel of your imagery: asking your celebrant to step slightly aside during your vows.

4. Your MOH sets the tone

The right person brings calm, protects your peace and quietly holds everything together.

5. Fall in love with Plan B too

If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, love the indoor option just as much. The backup setting can completely change the atmosphere of a day.

One thing that can completely change the feel of your wedding content? The background.

Not every moment happens in a picture-perfect location. Sometimes there are houses, parked cars, random distractions, or spaces that just aren’t giving luxury wedding energy. And the reality is, you don’t always have time to disappear for portraits or move to a different location.

This was one of those moments.

The setting wasn’t necessarily working for us, but the sky absolutely was. So instead of focusing on what wasn’t there, we worked with what we had finding better angles, shooting intentionally, and avoiding distractions to create something that still felt effortless and elevated.

Because beautiful content isn’t always about the perfect location.

Sometimes it’s about having the eye to see what others don’t.

Save this for your wedding inspo.

We want to know are you someone who notices the background in reels?

3 things you’ll never catch us doing as your wedding content creator

Direct or try to take the lead from your photographer

Step into photo or video shots just to get our own

Compete with your creative team

Lately, there’s been a growing conversation within the wedding industry around content creators overstepping on wedding days and honestly, we understand where the frustration is coming from.

As content creators ourselves, we know that getting great content should never come at the expense of the couple’s experience or the creative team around you.

A huge reason we’re able to capture the kind of content we do is because we work alongside experienced photographers and videographers who are the ones leading the wedding day, guiding moments naturally, creating beautiful imagery, and bringing everything together seamlessly.

We’re simply there knowing how to work around those moments professionally and capture what’s already unfolding naturally without interrupting it.

That’s why we’ve never had to direct or overstep boundaries to capture the content that we do.

And that comes down to experience too. We know what to look for, how to anticipate moments, and how to capture great content without needing to get in the way of the people already documenting the day.

Because at the end of the day, a good content creator knows how to work seamlessly around the creative team, not against them.

Our goal is never to overpower the moment, but to preserve it.

And that’s exactly the kind of experience we’ll always strive to create.
