Day 2 on Lake Como and a little insight into what this journey really looks like behind the scenes.
This isn’t just about seeing beautiful venues. It’s about understanding them.
Walking through Villa del Balbianello, you begin to see how guest flow actually works in real time. Where a ceremony naturally sits. How transitions feel. What’s required logistically to bring something seamless to life in a space like this.
At Villa Pessina, over the longest, most beautiful lunch, it became about connection - time spent with local vendors, understanding how they work, how they communicate, and what truly matters when planning from across the world.
Victoria Beach in Menaggio offered a completely different perspective again - relaxed, coastal, and a reminder that luxury doesn’t always mean formal. It can be effortless, intentional, and experience-led.
And something really special to close the day, an evening hosted at Figli dei Fiori Bistrot, where we were invited to step into the creative process ourselves. Working alongside the team, we created our own floral arrangements for the table centrepieces, guided by the beautiful work of Figli dei Fiori Como.
It’s moments like this that deepen your understanding, not just of how something looks, but what actually goes into bringing it to life.
Because this trip, and everything around it, is an investment.
Not just in me, but in my clients.
In understanding the logistics, the nuances, the realities of planning in Europe.
In building relationships with vendors I can trust implicitly.
In being able to recommend spaces and teams with full confidence, not just from research, but from experience.
The planners tour is just one part of that. There’s been so much more behind the scenes to make this trip what it is.
And that’s the difference. Always 🤍
