Some weddings are extra special and this was definitely one of them. ❤️
I had the absolute privilege of marrying two people who genuinely make the world a better place just by being in it.

Jen is not only one of my favourite humans, she's also the incredible Weddings and Events Manager at the Amora Hotel. If you've ever met her, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say she's one of the kindest, warmest and most generous people you'll ever come across.

And then there's Doug. Calm, thoughtful, endlessly kind and every bit as lovely as Jen. Together, they're the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel comfortable, welcomed and valued.

They didn't want anything over the top. No fuss. No performance. Just a ceremony filled with the people they love most and the moments that matter.

And what beautiful moments they were.

As guests gathered at Smoked Garage, the unmistakable sound of bagpipes filled the air as Piper Joe led the way for Jen and her sister's entrance. There wasn't a dry eye in sight. It was emotional, heartfelt and completely them.

A shared love of the Reds brought plenty of smiles, their family and friends brought so much warmth, and the whole day felt like a giant celebration of two genuinely good humans finding their perfect person.

Jen and Doug, thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your story. Watching you two promise forever to each other was an honour I'll never forget.
Some people are simply meant to find each other. ❤️

A huge congratulations to Lisa and Francis from Bánh Mì Factory on being crowned Best Bánh Mì in Brisbane! 🎉🥖

I had the absolute privilege of marrying these two beautiful humans back in January 2023 at The Lussh. It was one of those weddings that perfectly reflected who they are, family at the heart of everything, surrounded by their kids, laughter, love and the people who matter most.

Since then, I've continued following their journey (and let's be honest, regularly supporting the business in the name of research 😉).

Bánh Mì Factory has long been one of my favourite local spots. There may or may not be a standing tradition of a sneaky Tuesday post-gym bánh mì finding its way into my hands. Some rewards are worth working out for.

Seeing Lisa and Francis recognised for all their hard work, dedication and passion is so well deserved. Small family businesses don't become Brisbane favourites by accident.

Now excuse me while I celebrate the only way I know how... with a bánh mì.

This is a love story that began at school. Even with all those embarrassing teenage dramas going on, they found each other. Sheridan and Cormack’s met on a train, during a torrential downpour, on the way to school.

Fifteen years, three children, countless Lego builds, K-drama marathons, book chats, back scratches, Animal Crossing sessions and one very important lobster reference later… they finally stood together at Factory 51 and made it official.

What I loved most about these two is that there was no pretending their relationship is perfect. Their vows celebrated the everyday moments that make a life together: listening to long post-shift debriefs, debating who’s really the big spoon, sharing cosy nights on the couch and raising three beautiful kids as a team.

Congratulations, Sheridan and Cormack. May you always be each other’s lobster. 🦞

You’ll usually find me somewhere between writing a ceremony that makes everyone laugh, tearing up over a love story and reminding couples that the little things are often the big things.

The hand squeeze before walking down the aisle.
The look across the room during the speeches.
The family traditions that become part of your story.

Those are the moments I love most.

Because a wedding ceremony isn’t just about what happens on the day. It’s about celebrating the people, memories and moments that brought you here.

Why marriage matters to me!

I think the best ceremonies make people feel seen. Not just the couple, but the parents, siblings, friends and chosen family who helped shape the couple.

I genuinely believe this moment has weight.

Yes, everything looks amazing but it’s those connections. Those people who are there but also those who aren’t.

I’m someone who values long conversations, family traditions, emotional honesty and making people feel included.

In my humble opinion, that’s exactly how a wedding should feel.




This was my very last wedding at Smoked Garage. So many memories of beautiful couples and the very best team to work with. I'm glad I got to go out on a huge high with Jen and Doug. Their photos to come. 🤍

Taylor and Aaron's love story started in the least expected place. It started with balconies across from each other during Schoolies in Surfers.

Back in 2010, two 17-year-olds spotted each other from neighbouring apartments. There were laughs, a little bit of rum-fuelled confidence, some enthusiastic balcony banter and somewhere along the way, a mysterious pair of green shorts disappeared.

What started as a Schoolies connection turned into something much bigger.

Over the years, they've grown up together, built a beautiful life, welcomed Harry and Lewie, survived countless camping adventures and mastered all the chaos life brings.

Aaron loves Taylor's smile, her kindness, and the way she can light up a room without even trying. Taylor loves Aaron's adventurous spirit, his sense of humour, and his enormous heart... even if the water jug doesn't always get refilled.

At The Bethnal, they celebrated a love story that's been years in the making. One built on friendship, laughter, loyalty, and choosing each other every single day.

And honestly, that's a pretty good outcome from Schoolies. 🤍
