Georgina and Riley’s love story began on a university leadership camp on Moreton Island in February 2019, surrounded by mutual friends, team-building activities and, apparently, a little bit of flirting.
The funny thing is, Georgina almost didn’t even go.
A last-minute invitation changed that, and somewhere between the group hangouts, late-night chats, uni events and weekends with friends, these two became inseparable.
There was never really an official first date. It was more like one long first date made up of bowling, movies, uni drinks, weekends away and simply finding more and more reasons to spend time together.
And from the beginning, everything just felt easy.
Together, they’ve created a life that suits them. Beach days, walks with Morris, discovering new cafés, board games, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, the feeling that they can achieve more together than they ever could alone.
Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, Morris, good coffee, board games and hopefully one day… a quiet life in Wanaka.
