So how did we all end up here at Hillstone for this gorgeous couple?�We followed the love story that started in the lobby of a 2019 holiday tour.
Samantha and Jack first crossed paths for all of 30 seconds… but it was Vegas where things actually clicked. Samantha clocked Jack’s heroic level of sunburn immediately (he was praying no one would notice - she noticed). Conversation flowed, sparks flickered, and by the end of the tour they’d swapped details and promised to stay in touch.
Then it was Melbourne for Sam, Brisbane for Jack. Jack decided he had to see her again and booked a flight on a whim. Sam was thrilled… but she also had her dad’s birthday dinner that night.
So their first official date?�You guessed it. Straight into the deep end at a family dinner. And somehow, it just worked.
And that’s how a chance meeting, a sunburn, and one very bold flight brought us to Hillstone, celebrating the two of them.

TOM 🤍 CHARLOTTE - 01.08.25

Tom and Charlotte married at Walkabout Creek on 1 August 2025, surrounded by towering trees, warm winter light and the kind of laughter that carries for miles.
Their story began almost ten years ago, somewhere between the chaos of La Tomatina and a carefree pub crawl in Spain. Two travellers, sun-tired and a little tomato-stained, who could’ve easily remained strangers… except they didn’t. A cheerful, “Hi, I’m Tom,” in an Aussie accent changed the course of two lives.

What followed was a year of time zones, long-haul flights and constant messages, before Charlotte packed up her life and moved to Australia. Not out of impulse, but out of a very clear knowing.

And watching them stand together on their wedding day, that knowing felt incredibly true.

I had the joy of not only officiating their ceremony, but staying on to MC the reception too and let’s just say, this crew knows how to celebrate properly.

Tom & Charlotte, thank you for the honour. Your love is intentional, joyful, and full of wonder. Here’s to the next adventure, together 🥂

I'm a Brisbane Wedding Celebrant that will make your ceremony memorable for all the right reasons. My goal is to tell your story at your wedding. What makes you guys - you! Why you laugh together, cry together, your dreams and secrets. What you love most about that person that makes your heart sing and gives you butterflies when you think of them. That is what I will talk about at your ceremony.

Together, we will design a warm, light hearted and fun ceremony to make your wedding memorable to you and all your guests.
