What an elegant and simply breathtaking way to swing into the weekend.

It was my first time officiating today, for Elyse & Fletch.

From the moment I came up the drive - WOW!

I was met by a friendly 🦘

Big beautiful trees shaded the way to the bridal cottage

The purpose built ceremony space is backed by another gorgeous tree and mountain vistas

Tanya and Chris had a year-long text chain going before they finally met in person.

Tanya played that first meet safe with a double date — smart girl - safety in numbers. After all, Chris could have been a stalker… or worse, a Kiwi 😜.

That night they talked until sunrise, and ended their date with the sweetest kiss. Since that evening they’ve made the most of every moment together.

12 years later, with so much already experienced, and with their three girls beside them, they celebrated the journey they've been on, and they excitedly anticipate all that is yet to come.

I met up with Dani & Tommy at 12:15 today. And at 12:30... they were husband and wife!

That's how quickly you can say I do! (of course there was some paperwork prep a month beforehand), but the signing was just a few legal words and a quick couple of signatures in front of 2 witnesses over 18yrs (on this occasion - mother and daughter holidaymakers, who I randomly borrowed from the bar at the Novotel - providing them with a great holiday tale to tell).

Tommy & Dani wanted a no-fuss signing today, but they will be celebrating twice more in a couple of months' with friends in Australia and family in Israel . They'll have non-legal Jewish services led by friends...three weddings!...what a great weekend excuse to have three honeymoons!!!!

And even though today was "no-fuss" it wasn't without lots of warm and fuzzies. These cutie love-birds of seven years still dressed the part, and were all nervous smiles and shaking hands, and they even brought their parents along via video chat to watch the ceremony playout. We followed this up with some celebratory cokes and I played the role of photographer for some happy snaps.

What a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.

There’s no greater compliment than being invited back by the family ✨💛

After seeing me in action at his brother Vlad’s wedding last September, Johan & (now wife) Jess asked me to come onboard for their big day too. Honestly, I was so flattered (and a little teary 🥹).

The best part? Their dad joking, “ok, that’s it, we’re done – you’ve married all my children.”

Oh no sir… we are not done. I’m sticking around for the grandbabies 😂👶💍

🎉 From Party Pest to Perfect Partner – Maddy & Jordan’s Journey 🥂 – Maddy & Jordan’s Story 💍

It took many a 'New Year' and 'Australia Day' shindig for romance between these two to blossom.

If I were to tell the story from Jordan’s perspective, he would have described his behaviour on these occasions as loud and a bit cheeky – but Maddy has lovingly corrected this to - annoying!

Arriving at parties well before her with a few in the tank already, his inhibitions were lowered, and his volume raised. Maddy did not approve...And she made her dislike of this typical Aussie larrikin quite clear — to the point of a friend stepping in to tell her "be a little nicer, for the sake of the group dynamic".

From that point, something shifted – she saw him for the authentic, attentive, and resilient man he is, and he discovered that Maddy was an absolute bundle of joy. An attraction grew, and from that moment on, they became inseparable. 💫
