Dan had a plan…
After a fun date-night he surprised girlfriend Mel with an elaborate setup in the park - a full romantic picnic — fairy lights, flowers, champagne… the works…and a small gift for Mel, to mark their anniversary. A retro viewfinder - the kind you click through to see little slides. Only this wasn’t a generic viewfinder, this one was personal. Each click revealed a memory. A moment they had shared. A little snapshot of their story so far. And as Mel clicked to the final slide, it read: “Will you marry me?” Awwww
But one interesting thing I leared is that apparently… Dan never officially asked Mel to be his girlfriend. And when it came time to propose, he was so emotional that he forgot to actually say, "Will you marry me?"
Fortunately, Mel was good at reading between the lines (it of course helped that the proposal was written in the viewfinder), so she simply started saying "Yes!" before he even had the chance.
Today - their Wedding day, was actually the first time in their relationship, that they've made things nice and official...so lucky to be a part of that.
