Why isn’t there a “First Married Look”?
I was lucky enough to capture this “PINCH ME” moment when Francis and Shane looked into that gorgeous mirror at the Gold Coast Farm House to see themselves for the first time as “Mr and Mrs”.
We had just been chased inside by a passing shower to sign their paperwork, and completely by chance they paused in front of the mirror.
It was one of those quiet, unexpected moments that took my breath away.
It made me wonder... why don’t we celebrate the First Married Look?
So, here’s a LITTLE IDEA for FUTURE COUPLES: after the ceremony, steal away for just a minute, just the two of you (and your trusty photographer). Find a mirror, a window, a reflective pond or pool. A place where you can pause, look at each other, and then see yourselves together as newlyweds.
