In light of the terrible situation that has descended on the events and hospitality industry, amongst many other industries, we have prepared the following statement. As with many other businesses, employees and sole traders, we are suffering a huge impact.
Many wonโt fully understand the true force of what is currently happening. Beyond the horrendous health implications, Covid-19 is going to decimate the events and hospitality industry. Many of our peers in the industry are struggling for survival. The work has dried up for everyone, event bookings have cancelled, and enquiries have stopped.
For us, we have many casual employees who rely on our business. We are doing everything we can to safeguard them and our businessโs future. It is business as usual for our office team, who are all working remotely.
Our T&Cs have been relaxed with immediate effect, allowing 25% reduction in our hourly commercial rates for Hospitality labour hire placements, Hospitality Consulting Fees and In-Home personal/private chef bookings. We have also reduced the cancellation time period for bookings in case an event or shift is cancelled at the last minute.
Now is a time when we need the world to remember that events will happen again this year & that positive dialogue with clients, suppliers and employees is vital.
Support your local businesses who are still trading by grabbing a takeaway meal or beverage, purchase a gift certificate or make event enquires for later in the year. For those affected Hospitality & Events businesses discuss T&C's with your suppliers and make plans for beyond this crisis.
