Damien is a Bridgetown-based Civil Marriage Celebrant and has been creating beautiful Ceremonies for his client couples since 2005. you make your "Day of All Days" Personal, Exciting, Memorable and Unique. His philosophy is simple: the Wedding Day belongs to the Marrying Couple and no one else ... and the Couple deserve the best that all around them can offer or give. Damien has solemnised weddings, large and small, in many varied situations ... from the Water Garden in Kings Park to a dry creek bed in Kojonup, from a Raspberry Farm in Deloraine (Tasmania) to vineyards in Margaret River.

A beautiful day and a beautiful bride, a very proud groom and slightly emotional Ceremony. Congratulations to Mikayla and Glenn.
Tanah Marah is a stunning venue and the garden furniture created by Glenn was fabulous.
I love a good Bridal Party Entrance and Mikayla and her beautiful group were up there with the best.
A long and happy life together Mikayla and Glenn.

Looking forward to a beautiful Margaret River wedding this weekend. As is becoming customary, bride and groom are requesting that their wedding be digital free - no cameras, tablets or phones until after the ceremony. It's quite a common request now as a push back against the sometimes wall of screens and devices confronting the couple during the ceremony. And the race to be the first to post on social media is a problem too. Bride and Groom should have control of what gets posted - it's their Wedding after all.

Haven't been active here for some time. It's been a very busy time one way or another. Covid played havoc with couples and their wedding plans of course, but how lucky are we to live in WA.
In between work, weddings, and trying to get to Darwin to see our daughter,Sinead, (for the first time in 18 months) plus selling our home and moving house to begin the reno path again it's been hard to get a breath.
Recent beautiful weddings of note have been Tenzin and Nyrie in that wonderful lakeside setting, Peter and Julie in black and white, and the fabulous Rat Rod, David and Debra where their wisteria appeared in all its glory just in time and we could talk at length of Thylacines and John and Sue in Boyup Brook celebrating a union based on quality years to come.

And in another field as a Wildlife Volunteer Snake Relocator, it's a very busy Spring ... from the biggest Dugite I've ever taken care of (a monster old man reptile) to five skittish critters this week alone it's a busy one indeed. But it's great to see so many people calling for a registered relocator to treat the animals with respect rather than get a shovel to them.

Beautiful little private church in the southern forests. Built by pioneer families in the mid 1800s. Now de consecrated but wonderfully intact. A very special place.

First COVID 19 wedding this afternoon. 5 of us only in a forest venue.
The couple are just happy to be able to marry in the middle of all the madness.

Well it's been an eventful few months. Some wonderful weddings and more to come. Congratulations to Shannon and James, Ashley and Letitia, Erica and Barry, Sophie and Rhys, Storm and Shane, Ribyn and Carl and the world famous and incredibly talented Emily and Lukas.
But the downside is after a pretty rapid diagnosis I found myself in hospital having massive surgery for colon cancer 5 weeks before Christmas.
After a nervous wait I was given the good news of all clear.. The brilliant surgical team got the lot.. And a lot of me while they were at it.
So grateful to Dr Agrawal and his assistant Dr Shepherd. And thanks to all the wonderful nursing staff in Surgical Ward at Bunbury Regional. They are all amazing.
And now the months of recuperation... Slow but steady. But I can still perform weddings although I've given up the unicycle.
All good. I find out in February about going back in to have the colostomy reversed.. Its amazing what they can do.
