As you probably know, we had a bushfire in our area yesterday — our first one since moving in. Welcome to Hills life… floods ✔️ fires ✔️ just waiting on the plague of locusts now.

Huge thanks to our neighbours who popped in to check on us and see if we needed help wrangling the Critter Creek crew. Thankfully the wind changed and we didn’t need to evacuate, but we know many of our neighbours and community did. Times like these are a good reminder to check in on those around you. We as a community are in this together.

Massive appreciation to the volunteer and career brigades, helitacks, SES, police, and everyone who dropped everything and got stuck in to get it under control so quickly — absolute bloody legends.

To everyone in Boya and surrounds — we hope you’re all safe, sound, and back home. And thank you to everyone who messaged offering safe places, spare paddocks, and help with the animals. It truly means more than you know ❤️

We’re sorry we had to end the season a bit earlier than planned. Between moving house and putting the lights together this year, it definitely took its toll after a massive few months.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support. We’ll be back next year and are hoping to return to our usual season timeframes — bigger, brighter and better rested! ✨🎄

And just like that… after an absolutely AMAZING season, we’ve made the big call that TONIGHT WILL BE OUR LAST NIGHT for 2025 ❤️

What a ride.
The laughs.
The dancing.
The bubbles.
The traffic jams.
The kids losing their minds.
The adults acting like kids.
The neighbours showing patience, kindness and support.
The messages, waves, smiles and thank-yous.
Honestly… our hearts are FULL ❤️
This was our first year of Christmas on Clayton, and while we didn’t go full send like usual (you all noticed 😅), we wanted to test the waters — and WOW, you showed up in the best way.

Now for the real talk:
We are TIRED tired.
“Haven’t sat on the couch in weeks” tired.
“The dog thinks we’ve moved out” tired.
“Why did we think this was a good idea at our age” tired 😂
So tonight is it.

We just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single person who has come down, supported us, smiled, danced, donated, and shared the magic so far ❤️✨
Your kindness, patience, and energy are the reason this has all been

💥 Year 6 of the lights and WOW… it’s been an absolute SMASH!
And even more special — this is our very first Christmas on Clayton 🎄🏡

Well… that was elf-pectedly dramatic!
After an unexpected night off and a very stressful afternoon playing musical power boards and cleaning up after the thunder and lightning, the elves are back on duty and the Grinch has (reluctantly) returned the power 😅⚡️

We’ve fixed the chaos, swept up the sparkle, and saved Christmas once again.

🎄 We’re back ON tonight from 7pm!
Come on down, soak up the lights, dodge the Grinch, and let the elves do what they do best — spread some Christmas cheer ✨

We did get a little wetter than planned yesterday 🌧️ and had some minor damage. Fingers crossed we can dry everything out today 🤞
