Well bring it on out to Bony Mountain this September — because we have got plenty of room for you!

50 acres of beautiful Queensland bushland with a bitumen road right to the gate — no dirt tracks – no tight squeezes – just drive straight in and find your spot. We've got great internet and phone reception out here too — so you won't be completely off the grid if you don't want to be! 😄

Our camping passes run from the 14th right through to the 21st of September — a full week in the bush if you want it. Wake up to bush breakfasts in the morning – enjoy live folk and country music through the day – sit around the campfire at night. That's the Bony Mountain way.

Single Camping Pass $125 — includes one adult and your campsite for the full week, plus the main event.
Double Camping Pass $250 — includes two adults and your campsite for the full week, plus the main event.
Kids get in FREE.

We haven't forgotten about the four-legged ones! 🐾

Dogs are very welcome at Bony Mountain — on a lead of course, as we do have precious wildlife around the property. But by popular demand this year we've also got a big dog run and play area — approximately half an acre — where the doggies can have a proper run around and a good time!

And of course — the always popular Doggie Parade on Sunday is back. If you've never seen it you are in for a treat. It is one of the highlights of the whole weekend!

We've also got a local dog groomer on site for doggie baths — so your furry mate can come home looking their best. 😄

Bring the dogs — bring the kids — bring the whole family. There's something for everyone at Bony Mountain this September. 🤠

Runaway Dixie are coming to Bony Mountain this September! And we cannot wait!! 🎶

There is nothing quite like waking up in the bush! ⛺

One of the things our regulars love most about Bony Mountain is the camping. We've got 50 acres out here - plenty of room for tents – caravans – motorhomes – fifth wheelers – buses – big rigs – you name it, we've got room for it!

Our camping passes run from the 14th right through to the 21st of September - so if you want a full week out here in the Queensland bush, that's exactly what you can have. Bush breakfasts in the morning - campfire concerts at night - good music – good food – good people all around.

Quite a few of our regulars tell us Bony Mountain is their special getaway for the year. Once you've done it - you'll understand why!

We are so pleased to have THOSE FOLK joining us at Bony Mountain this September. 🎶

Lawrence and Clare are a husband and wife duo from right here in Queensland - and if you haven't seen them live before, you are in for something really special. Stunning vocal harmonies, beautiful songwriting, and a sound that just feels like home - guitars, mandolin, banjo, accordion, the lot.

They've been described as one of the best live acts to come out of QLD in the past decade and we couldn't agree more. Their music explores love, hope and belonging - and we reckon that fits Bony Mountain just perfectly.

We’re Back for 2026! We have a small favour to ask.

Unfortunately we’ve lost access to some of the big Facebook groups we have made over the years that helped spread the word about our humble festival!

If you’re able to share this post to your friends and music groups, it would really help us let people know the Bony Mountain Folk Festival is back again this year and as big as ever!

The main event is 18th 19th 20th September this year, with camping available from the 14th through to the 21st!!

With so much noise in the world at the moment, and petrol prices through the roof, sometimes it’s nice to get away somewhere peaceful for a few days. Bony Mountain has always been a place where people come to slow down, enjoy good music, sit around the campfires and spend time with friends.

Many folks tell us it’s their special getaway for the year.

Campers can arrive earlier in the week and settle in, and with our camping pass it works out to only about $21 per night per person — making it a very affordable week in the bush.

We’ve got a wonderful lineup again this year including Hillbilly Goats, The Coads, Runaway Dixie, Those Folk and many more talented artists. Norma O'hara Murphy is also releasing a brand new album on Friday night, so be sure to not miss out!

There’ll be walk-up music during the week, Ukulele School, campfire concerts, markets on Sunday, the Doggie Parade, great country cooking at The Shack, and plenty of relaxed bush camping on our 50 acres here at Bony Mountain.

If you’ve been before — we’d love to see you back again.
And if you haven’t been yet, this might be the year to experience our little festival in the bush.
