Bendigo Blues & Roots 10 massive festivals in 12 years. Currently on hiatus. Continuing to support local live music.

Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival is a four day event of Blues and Roots performances, jam sessions and workshops throughout Bendigo and surrounding towns; the centrepiece of which is a day long family friendly concert featuring more than a dozen top-class acts over two stages in the picturesque Rosalind Park. Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival is a not-for-profit event, run by a volunteer committee and crew for the betterment of the live music scene in Central Victoria and to re-engage mainstream punters in local and community events and the arts. The Festival program is not about selling you the biggest names for the highest prices - it's about sharing musical discoveries and enriching our grass-roots culture with music made by talented artists who deserve your attention and support.

This will be a fun one... tonight at Handle Bar from 8pm! Handle Barflies came about as a blues jam-band at last year's Bendigo Blues & Roots Weekend, but it was too good to let it be a once-off. Led by two of Central Vic's best bluesmen: Jarrod Shaw and Rhyley McGrath, with a crackin' rhythm section of Jaspar Austin-Gray (bass) and Colin Thompson (drums), and featuring the dynamic talents of Jeff Thornton on keys and David Kinnersley on sax, your're guaranteed good musical vibes - 71 Mitchell Street, Bendigo. Free entry. No bookings.

From 2022 - our last full-scale festival. Maybe we'll come back to this kind of scale one day, but for now, we're happy running events the size we do, including Bendigo Blues & Roots Weekend 2026 with around 50 artists performing in 10 venues from 13-15 November. See you there.
