What a difference an updated vanity cabinet makes.
Fresh, easy care in a classic white makes the bathroom seem much more spacious.

Can a bathroom renovation really be done in 2 weeks?
Maybe on a reality TV show — but in the real world? Not if you want a high-quality finish and work that meets Australian standards and regulations.

At Stone Obsessions, we typically allow a minimum of 4 weeks to complete a bathroom renovation. Why? Because there’s a lot more involved than just swapping out tiles and tapware.

Depending on the scope, the process includes:
• Demolition (potentially asbestos removal)
• Adjusting internal framework
• Updating plumbing layouts
• New wall linings and flooring
• Waterproofing
…all before we get to the exciting stage of tiling, installing beautiful vanities, shower screens, lighting, and quality tapware.

And here’s something many people don’t know:
For any residential project over $20,000, a Certificate of Home Building Compensation Fund (iCare) must be issued before work begins — it’s the law.

There are also new ventilation requirements in the National Construction Code.
