Sasha Trail is an artist and illustrator based at her home studio in central Canberra. Her practice spans several mediums, driven by a curiosity for slow and ritualistic making processes. With a keen eye for observational studies, her paper pulp series marks a new direction towards the exploration of reclaimed fibres and a focus on construction from destruction. The work's undulating forms echo the dunes and waves of the Australian landscape, a shape that repeats in nature the same way her hands repeat the act of making, batch after batch.
Sasha graduated from the Australian National University School of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Design in 2021. She has since worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and arts administrator, and exhibited across several Canberra galleries.

Sasha's work features in our offsite exhibition ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ฆ๐ด๐ดโ , a group exhibition about the relationship between scale, quantity and the awe an artwork can stir, presented across three Suburban Land Agency display homes in Whitlam.โ
