In honor of our amazing Elders. ..a bit of black and gold deadliness for this year's 50th anniversary of NAIDOC. I would not be here without them and we should always remember those who came before us. We have no future without our legacy to my old people, thank you.

Big, black, yellow and gold....

You mob at the NAIDOC ball tonight, take these babies home or give them to your old people.

Been up on helping my folks pack up and get ready for their big move back home to

Spending time with them has been a blessing and it's been great to weave with my Mum, getting some goodies ready to adorn with florals.

In a week from now, they will be on their next big adventure home.

And HAPPY NAIDOC - get involved and support your local mobs, march, join in the deadliest celebration of culture.

On Tuesday, I was invited to facilitate a flower pin workshop as part of Immanuel Lutheran College's Staff Spiritual Retreat.

We spent a glorious morning in the gardens of the Good Sheperd Lutheran Church in Witta and the creations were beautiful! Lots of laugher, yarns, learnings and stories. It was truly a lovely time and a big thank you to Emily for always supporting local and being just a brilliant human!

Thank you also to Brie and the deadly peeps who got busy and creative!

Workshops are a great way to learn but also just to sit in space, and listen, breathe and connect. If you are interested in workshops, please reach out and send me a message.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to create the floral arrangements for this year's Queensland Reconciliation Awards 2025.

The key concept was to compliment the design palette created by which visually recognised each category - Community, Business, Education, Health and Wellbeing and Partnership.

A BRIGHT colour palette which was right up my alley!

Using 4 different types of banksias, sea holly, hydrangeas, Leucadendron's, billy buttons, paper daises, teasels, gum nuts, Amaranthus, spear grass, star fern and mixed native foliage and some beautiful spear grass flowers...I had a lot of fun bringing these together.

Best of all, all the arrangements were taken home at the end of the night by mob and community who contacted me afterwards to say thanks.

A belated congratulations to all the winners and as normal, I didn't take great photos, so these were ones sent to me and also posted by community after the event.

Last Saturday, I facilitated a still life workshop at .au as part of the World Science Festivals 2025 Program.

I always get mega nervous when I have to facilitate workshops and the doubt always creeps in BUT honestly, this group of people were amazing, focused, supportive and just lubly!

We created a variety of main arrangements and then placed some extra smaller arrangements and collections of florals to people to focus on. There were a number of different exercises and activities, stretches, cuppas and yarns and then we switched things up and brought in to add body and shape to the picture!

How beautiful and deadly is this Queen and how glorious is she surrounded by all our lubly blooms!

I was blown away not only by the amazing works being done but also by the focus and genuine care from each person in the room. As I said on the day, I am very thankful and often surprised by the wider community supporting what we do. Even just by signing up and being a part of the workshop, says to me that you care and are willing to be a part of conversation. Sometimes that means participating and sometimes it means just listening and learning.

Please support Blak Orgs like .au because everything they do, is with culture at the heart.

There are more workshops like this planned for the future so stay connected. drop me a line and support Blak Business because its deadly!

One of the things that brings me happiness is being able to work with Mob. Everyone who knows me knows that but for me, it brings me a sense a happiness and pride that I really can't explain.

is an amazing Aboriginal-run Art Centre with a gallery, shop front, and yarning place on unceded Jinibara Country. The community that has formed over these past years - on the smell of an oily rag - but with the heart and soul of 1000's of ancestors - is incredible, and I am forever blessed to be a part of the Board but moreso, that community. I urge you to pop in, sign up, get connected and reach out to the incredible range of programs facilitated yearly by this small organisation - just getting things done.

I was asked to create a bonyi arbour for the current exhibition "Bonyi Living Culture' and it was nice to create something with foliage of this country. A simple addition to a deadly exhibition of some amazing works by some more amazing blak artists.
