Their story began on night one of O-Week at the North Wollongong Hotel. Sarah held the door open for Alistar, unknowingly opening the door to forever, and he didn’t miss his chance, making a move that turned a small moment into something unforgettable. Their first date at the UniBar (featuring the iconic chip and gravy rolls) set the tone for a relationship built on fun, ease, and shared memories.

Since then, their love has grown through laughter and the little moments that matter most. Alistar sees Sarah as spontaneous, passionate, and loving, while Sarah describes him as loyal, patient, funny, and wonderfully goofy. From simply enjoying time together to dreaming of a lifetime of adventures, theirs is a love that started with the simple opening of a door.

Sarah and Alistar were married at the gorgeous amongst the beautiful autumn colours.

Andrew and Sara’s wedding took place at Hillandale in Yetholme near Bathurst, where the gardens looked absolutely spectacular. It was a good reminder of the value of having a reliable “Plan B,” as it rained steadily until just 30 minutes before the ceremony.

The little hall became a charming and intimate setting, perfect for a beautiful couple who shared the most heartfelt promises with one another.
