🏆 WE WON! Adventure Event of the Year! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to share that Sea Otter Australia has won the Adventure Event of the Year Award at the Outdoor Industry Awards, presented by Outdoors NSW & ACT! Outdoors NSW & ACT

For over 18 years, our team at Rocky Trail Entertainment has been passionately working to get more people connected to nature on bikes. To receive this recognition right from the start for our inaugural Sea Otter Australia Festival is a validation of that hard work, investment, and commitment. Thank you to Outdoors NSW & ACT for your advocacy and support!

This award belongs to everyone who helped us bring this global flagship brand to life. To our incredible partners - Eurobodalla Shire Council, Visit NSW State Forests, Visit NSW and Destination Southern NSW - thank you for trusting our vision. To our sponsor family, the all the Aussie and global brands in our massive Expo, our tireless crew, and the volunteers who built this experience: you created the heartbeat of this festival.

We are so privileged to work and play on the breathtaking Mogo Trails and Mountain Bike Narooma - part of a spectacular South Coast region boasting over 550km of pristine riding networks.

But most of all, this award is for you - the riders, the racers, the families, and the friends who showed up and rode with us. Each and every one of you helped us build a welcoming, inclusive community of like-minded people who simply live for spending time outdoors.

And guess what? We’re just getting started. We are returning to the Mogo and Narooma Trails this October 21–25, 2026, with a massive increase in our expo footprint, even more racing, and incredible social rides. If you love riding and being outdoors, this is the place to be.

Thank you for making Sea Otter Australia your home. See you on the dirt! 🌲🚲✨

With gratitude,
Your Rocky Trail Team

From the dirt to the dinner suit! 🚴‍♂️✨ We are incredibly proud to announce that the Sea Otter Australia Festival is a Finalist for Outstanding Visitor Experience in the 2026 Eurobodalla Business Awards! 🏆

Talk about a high-octane weekend. This Saturday and Sunday, the Rocky Trail team will be out on Mogo Trails running the third installment of the Mogo Mania Fox Superflow® Double Header, cheering on hundreds of riders chasing that legendary "Mogo Maniac" title.

Then, on Saturday night, we’ll be doing a true quick-change act - rushing straight from the timing tent to the black-tie red carpet! We might be trading our riding shoes for dress shoes in record time, but our hearts couldn't be bursting with more pride.

Bringing a global festival to life takes an incredible community, and being recognised like this after just our inaugural year means the world to us.

Win or lose, we are so excited to celebrate alongside our amazing friends and fellow nominees in the visitor space, Mountain Bike Narooma and the Crank It Up Festival. What a testament to the vibrant, active, and welcoming region we all get to call home! 🌊🌲

Good luck to all the local businesses and nominees this weekend. See you on the trails, and see you at the awards! 🥂🎉

POV: You line up at the Pumptrack Race Final at Finch Hatton MTB with Mick Hannah ... and you WIN.

The MTB Direct Spirit Award at the Mackay event weekend weekend goes to 17-year-old Charlie Thames Dirt Skills, who stole the show during the post-race Pumptrack event at the Finch Hatton Trails. After a massive day of racing on the big trails, Charlie found himself in the pumptrack final lined up against none other than “Sick” Mick Hannah, one of Australia’s most accomplished mountain biking legends. Despite the immense pressure of standing at the final start line next to an icon, the young rider kept his composure and pulled off a spectacular victory.

According to his mentor, Coach Cameron from Dirt Skills in Brisbane, the win is a well-deserved reward for a kid who "practically grew up on pumptracks" and rides more than anyone he knows. Charlie is already giving back to the sport, having spent the last six months coaching up-and-coming riders with the Dirt Skills crew, where he is known for being incredibly determined yet completely humble.

Though Coach Cameron had introduced Charlie to Mick before the racing kicked off, making the final was still a bit of a shock to the U19's rider. Huge credit goes to Charlie for managing his race nerves, keeping it together under pressure, and riding his heart out. He was absolutely stunned by the win, and the entire community is incredibly proud to see his dedication pay off so beautifully. - We hear the whole crew then went to dinner together.
