I have been itching to share this invitation with you.
Introducing this vintage inspired baptism invitation that was created for Massimo. Looking closely, the envelope design features layers of soft cherubs, watercolour illustrated background giving an antique feel, hints of lettering that run off the page. Main card framed with sculptured embossed boarders, delicate ornate crest finished with a custom wax seal.

On 8 April, I marked one year since my breast cancer diagnosis, and to celebrate, George surprised me with an overnight stay at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.
It’s a unique eco-retreat overlooking the iconic Sydney Harbour, surrounded by incredible animals. Our experience began with an intimate tour of the sanctuary, home to a collection of native Australian wildlife. Interestingly, we learned that the koala is the most expensive animal to feed in the entire zoo—hard to believe!

Afterwards, we had some free time to explore the zoo, which I hadn’t properly done since the kids were little. I absolutely love the giraffes, lemurs, and of course, the meerkats.

Dinner, we enjoyed a table for two at Me-Gal restaurant, watching the sunset over what I think is the most iconic view in the world (I may be a little biased!). Later, we joined a small group for a night tour after the zoo had closed, where we saw animals settling in for the evening—it was such a peaceful and special experience.

The next morning, we headed out for one final morning tour before the zoo opened. With the sun shining and the guidance of such lovely staff, we got to know the animals by name and learned even more about them.

Working up an appetite, it was back to the Me-Gal for breakfast—once again enjoying that stunning view. It did make me wonder if the animals realise just how lucky they are to call a place like that home. Overall can I just say that had to be the most unique experience and a must do.
