Our Story

The idea of Sugar & Slice was born June 2019. I was taking in some sweet treats to my colleagues for morning tea and they suggested I should start selling them. Surely, I couldn't do that. I was just a mum with 3 kids who worked at a lighting warehouse.

But - why couldn’t I?!?

We needed to create a name which incorporated what we do best... SLICES! We then decided to use a mixer in our logo, as.. well.. what kitchen is complete without one! Now to find a colour. When I was pregnant with my 3rd, we weren't finding out what gender we were having so needed a gender neutral colour for our nursery - Teal. We loved it so much we decided to use Teal as our branding. There were already plenty of business’ that offered slice platters, so we decided to do something a little different and offer slice boxes. Bite sized pieces, perfectly presented and OH SO TASTY!

Finally, Our dreams became reality when we had our kitchen registered through our local council and we were able to sell to the public. From here, we grew bigger and bigger. We started supplying All 4 Kids Playcentre - for all us busy parents who want to wear out their children and enjoy a coffee & sneaky sweet treat. We were growing so quickly, I ended up leaving my other job to become the Slice Queen!
